out of 1000 times, how many times would a player come out ahead if he played both sides (player and banker) for one unit? The losing side always stays at one unit and the winning side increases only 4 times betting in this order 1,3,2,4 then back to 1. Please note there is no commission on either side; the only caveat is that when the banker pulls a three card 7 then its a push for the bank side not a win.
Theoretically , the gambler should come out even each time unless one side has a run of at least 3. A run of 10 should gross the winning side a total of 10 units against the gross loss of 4 units to the losing side thus netting a positive 6. For longer runs the net would be more. I believe the only losses would be each time one of the sides only wins twice in a row.
Is there a fallacy to playing this way in the long term?

this game you describe is negative expectation for both the player and the banker, and hence you should lose.

Yes. You aren't doing anything that changes the house edge in any way, so there's still a negative expectation to the game.

Same as playing pass and don't pass on craps, it avails you nothing, and reduces the action to pushing almost all the time. Don't play this way...it's UnAmerican!
