I was told that in BlackHawk(CO.) at the Let-It-Ride tables you must place an extra $1.00 bet at the first two spots. e.g. at a $5 table you would bet $6, $6, $5. You may pull back the extra dollars and they are paid out also. Has anyone heard of this? If true, what is the reasoning?

Do you mean the two spot that can be pulled back, or the base spot and first pull back, or the base and the second pullback?
Either way, if the extra dollr pays, it makes no sense.
I've seen casinos where if you're putting up an extra $1 as a dealer toke, they insist that it go on the base spot. Otherwise, players put it on the second pull back spot. The advantage of putting it on that spot is by that point you have seen 4 cards and have a good idea of it's going to win or not. Obviously, some casinos don't want to give that option to anyone, even if the money is for a dealer toke.
