I visit Biloxi Casinos often...several of the casinos have a $1 side bet in their 3-Card Poker games. The side bet would get the full 'pot' total, IF you draw a SPADE Royal, it would get you $500 in any other Royal, lesser amounts on other hands. Someone recently hit for over $19,000 at the Imperial Palace for drawing a SPADE Royal and having the side bet. How high does the 'pot' need to be before it is recomended to play it?
Thanks for your comments. Newell

From wiz of odds 3 card poker it is
Quote:

To breakeven the meter needs to be $11,520, less $175 for each other player.

Shuffle Master also provides another paytable (it also pays for a straight), and it would have a differant break even point.
Hand Pays combos Probability Return
Spade Mini 10080 1 0.000045248868778 0.45610859728507
Mini Royal 500 3 0.000135746606335 0.067873303167421
Staight Flush 70 44 0.001990950226244 0.1393665158371
Trips 60 52 0.002352941176471 0.14117647058824
Straight 6 720 0.032579185520362 0.19547511312217
loser 0 21280 0.96289592760181 0
total 22100 1 1

With this paytable the break even point is $10,080 less $175 for each other player
