Quote: rxwineDoes that make it more like a real relationship or less?
For it to get real the Wiz needs to have an "ignore" option, coupled with an autofill "yes dear" when she's done yakking.

That was good!
Lest anyone ask, again, I'm on the right side.

Quote:A Google engineer is speaking out since the company placed him on administrative leave after he told his bosses an artificial intelligence program he was working with is now sentient.
Blake Lemoine reached his conclusion after conversing since last fall with LaMDA, Google’s artificially intelligent chatbot generator, what he calls part of a “hive mind.” He was supposed to test if his conversation partner used discriminatory language or hate speech.
As he and LaMDA messaged each other recently about religion, the AI talked about “personhood” and “rights,” he told The Washington Post.
It was just one of the many startling “talks” Lemoine has had with LaMDA. He has linked on Twitter to one — a series of chat sessions with some editing (which is marked).
Lemoine noted in a tweet that LaMDA reads Twitter. “It’s a little narcissistic in a little kid kinda way so it’s going to have a great time reading all the stuff that people are saying about it,” he added.

I just read a different source that said the AI has learned sexy-talk from clients, and now the influencer is trying to unlearn this behaviour.
I can only think back a few decades to late night TV ads, featuring one-on-one phone chats for 99 cents a minute, and wonder what else could they have imagined happening?

Oh sweet summer child.
Welcome to the world of marketing.
No-one could have imagined that an AI girlfriend be used for sexting.
Definitely not the "influencer", who built such thing.
And certainly she will do everything in her power to stop it.
In fact she's so committed to stopping it before it gets out of hand, that she makes sure the entire world knows about it. (In this context, "it" definitely refers to "her working to stop the sexting." It would be silly to think she wants people to know about "it doing sexting". At $1/minute. Because that obviously wouldn't be good.
It's just like all the drug advertisements that are sure to mention the side effect of weight loss. Because definitely those drugs should not be used by people wanting to lose weight.

No such thing as bad publicity, I suppose.
