I think you're onto something here. Offer this

Cool, sounds like a valiant effort though. I applaud you. I'm sure it was the change in climate that had the most effect.

You did say "rematch" in the video. Are you really going to do it again next year?? :)

No, I thought about it, but changed my mind. Wizard and I have a different prop bet running, that I am very confident I'll win, but don't know if I am to discuss the specifics of that one or not.

EDIT: By the way, I especially appreciate you saying that given that you lost on me. The climate change was killer, like I said in the post-game, I think I'd have only been about 50/50 to do it anyway, at that point, even if not for the choking.

I was also kind of stupid not to have blown my nose more often, it was pretty full the whole time. I just didn't want to keep blowing my nose on camera, or I would have probably blown it three or four times as much, so that's just bad decision making.

I'm not going to try this again because, well, I don't want to, but I can confidently say that I would be a huge favorite at home. Despite not drinking Friday and getting some decent sleep, I was also a little more tired than I would have liked to have been. I should have scheduled it for in the morning, I'd spent about five of the previous seven hours staring at Video Poker!

Great day on VP yesterday for low stakes, an absolutely monster day, but more on that in my soon to come trip report.

Pierce, I apologize for the others. The terrible remarks that have been made, "never live it down", and all that, despicable.

And that guy who said the disgrace reminded him of this video ought to be ashamed!

I consumed 26 drinks last night comprised of beers and mixed drinks, and ate a breakfast basket of scrambled eggs, biscuit, bacon and home fries and did not regurgitate, nor was I anywhere close. In summation, I never threw up any of the nuggets and felt no better or worse after the Challenge than I felt before it. My breathing passages failed me, my stomach was just fine, I drank a 50oz beer within an hour and a half after the competition. I went to a bathroom to actually TRY to puke them up prior to drinking (nutritional value) and was not even able to bring myself to puke.

Wow, good showing! We should party together next WoV gathering. You could probably drink me under the table...I agree though, drinking competitions are not a good idea...

Well good effort Mission. I actually have the same problem you do. Whenever I eat anything, I get a ton of thick ropey spit and mucus in general. Also as an added bonus if I eat too much to chew for too long, my throat will try and swallow before I'm ready. But yeah I'm that guy you see always getting 50 napkins for a meal because I go through so many.

I hope the rest of your trip has been enjoyable at least.

I don't see why it's difficult to live down. At least you tried. Unfortunately I think that that this thinking is common, and it prevents people from trying things that they might fail at (even though they might succeed too!) Congrats for trying, in public and on camera, no less.

I bet against you, but that's only because the feat sounded really difficult. And it was only $50.

I had ordered a McRib Sandwich and ate it during the early stage of the challenge. I seldom eat this, I usually eat at home, or at steak houses or Italian restaurants when out, but hey, I was there. I live near an In-n-Out Burger, and occasionally grab one of their burgers. I have been sneaking more meat into my diet, too.

You can see my wife in the video as the lady in the lower left photo-bombing the video at 3:10 - 4:00.

You live on or near Eastern south of the 215? Perhaps Silverado Ranch?

Was just wondering :)

I live at Dean Martin Drive and Jerry Lewis Way (seriously), near Trop and I-15, - right by the Wild Wild West, which itself is right next to an In-n-Out burger.

3 months or so ago, another thread caught Mission's attention and he said he could eat 100 McNuggets in an hour and hold them down for 10 minutes. The Wiz challenged it as a prop bet. Other people got in on both sides of it after Mission said he didn't want all of the Wiz's action. There was some discussion of where and when, and it ended up being staged at the McDonald's at the D downtown Vegas last Saturday. Several people turned up to witness. Mission got very clogged (says he started that way and it got worse) and became unable to continue midway through due to saliva congestion making him unable to breathe. Speculation is that it was either a food allergy and/or the dry Vegas climate that caused the problem. Officially, Mission did not complete the challenge and the prop bet win was "No". We are in the process of settling the bets.

I wonder, how often do "honor system" bets on this forum go unpaid? For something like the NFL picks game, where many people will end up owing one person money... how many don't pay?

Just wanted everyone to know that Beethoven9th settled up his Mission Nugget bet with me. I checked my mail this morning and received a nice $100 Xmas present.

He is very honorable and someone I wouldn't hesitate to make another wager with.

AHHHH the long con...... well played Beethoven, Well played
