Geez Bob, and if had made 100, would you have gone away for two months like you did when you said Romney would win the election?

Let the gloating continue.

Greetings!!!

About to go to Four Queens for some drinking!

This is basically what happened:

Contrary to what EvenBob believes, my stomach was nowhere near at capacity. The Nuggets simply became more difficult to force down because of the taste.

My ultimate undoing was that some saliva collected in my chest, for whatever reason, when the video gets posted, you'll see me blowing my nose a lot and I even sneezed once. I didn't have that problem when I did the eighty, so I really don't know what the cause of that was.

So, the chunks that you guys were speculating about never actually happened. All I coughed up was a bunch of saliva and mucus, but I'm not even sure if any of the nuggets came out. I may have had a piece of one caught in my throat with the saliva, but that's all that happened.

Ultimately, I literally choked!!!

That was a food allergy. Many foods trigger that kind of reaction -- I often have to blow my nose and even sneeze when eating certain foods. In your case, the more you ate the more of an allergic reaction you had. There is plenty of "stuff" in McDonalds foods to trigger allergic reactions. Even if you don't have a "known allergy" you can have this kind of reaction to certain additives and ingredients.

He may have just called a no mas. I mean he already choked once might have figured he couldn't continue. Though I wasn't there so this is all speculation

EDIT: Just realized you were there so probably would have mentioned if he called no mas. So yeah I'd demand some kind of call of no action if I lost the better or atleast a replay to see if he did eject any nugget.

Gotta defer to the members of the "Star Chamber" who were in attendance.

Maybe we could make some good out of this in the future by making it a charity event, ie, a pledge for each nugget eaten, with a bonus to whoever eats the most without hurling. Just brain-stormin' here.

You know, Pierce gave it the old college try, valiant effort.

I was outside the McDonalds looking in, smoking a cigarette, thinking, "He's got it locked up, no problem."

Then I see Pierce come outside and lean over a garbage can and heave. No chicken chunks, but liquid, he said, excess saliva.

Still, we give him kudos, just fearless, "A" for effort, we salute him.

Pierce let absolutely no one down. Period, end of story.

He step up to the plate (literally), and gave it his all. Gotta respect.

For any prop bets, first of all, - for each loser is a winner.

Secondly, gamblers participate of their own accord, and there has to be ownership in that. You put your money up with your own word and hand.

So this cost Pierce $100, he had to buy the nuggets,
and come to Vegas. Had he won, the $500 would have
paid for a lot of the trip. And he just turned 30. Lots
of schaden here for me, almost too much. The worst
part? The Wiz wins yet another prop bet. No schaden
there at all..

Right. Wiz put up 500. Mission didn't want that much action, took 100. It was even money on willie/wonte. I took 100 of it right then, and about a week later, I took another hundred. There was other action, but that's what I got involved in.

You pays your money, you takes your chances. I certainly would've expected him to pay me if Mission had been successful, so of course he gets my $200. With any luck, he'll parlay 4 $50 dollar tickets into another huge payday tomorrow. Won money is lucky money. And I don't welch.

Well, I sort of disagree with that. He was going to pay if Mission didn't do it, at least at some point, and nagging him ridiculously. And Mission didn't do it. But Varmenti placed so many non-bets in so many directions anybody who thought he would actually pay anything was kidding themselves.

That's true, but he then made a second "no risk" bet saying that he'd pay $100 to 10 lucky members if Mission ate 100 nuggets.

But in any case, you're right, I don't think anybody honestly expected varmenti to pay up if he lost. lol...

Good try!

I find my nose and throat get all kinds of screwed up being in the dry Vegas air compared to home where it is always so humid. Not sure if that's what happened to you or what. Keep that in mind for your next attempt :)

Not just dry, the air is *monstrously* dry and when I was there it gave me nose-bleeds from dried cracked mucous membranes.

There is a peptide YY that is released causing the feeling of fullness when you eat. When it was tested initially as a possible appetite suppressant they found too much in the blood stream caused vomiting.
