Hey ho, let's go
Shoot 'em in the back now
What they want, I don't know
They're all revved up and ready to go

The Ramones?

Yep, “Blitzkrieg Bop”. In 1978, my friend Bill and I went to see The Ramones in Chicago. We were standing in line for tickets when a guy came up to us and asked if we wanted to get in for free. Of course we agreed! All we had to do was stand in front of the stage and keep people from rushing it. (I’m 6’2” and in ‘78 looked like a linebacker; Bill was 6’6” and about 350 and just looked BIG.) Well, when the show started, we turned around and watched. I saw The Ramones from as close as I am to this keyboard. It was easily the greatest show I’ve ever seen, ever. It was like sticking a needle in my arm and mainlining noise. I couldn’t hear for three weeks after that.

Smoke Gets in Your Eyes. I don’t know the heaven and hell one.

Ding! Ding! Correct!!

Originally appearing in the 1933 musical Roberta, "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes" would become an American standard when the 1958 recording by The Platters hit #1.

And now, in the category "Disney", name that song...

Fate is kind
She brings to those who love
The sweet fulfillment of
Their secret longing

I don't know this one, but I came across an interview with the songwriter from the recent Frozen movie, and he commented that historically, Disney protagonists all sing "I Want..." songs. I never really thought about it, but I suppose that's true. But isn't it also true with most great songs?

Based solely on Gialmere's hint, because I haven't seen Pinocchio since I was like 3, I'm going to guess When You Wish upon a Star sung by Jiminy Cricket.

Here's a link to an online video on the topic on the PBS.org site.
