Hi, I will be coming to Las Vegas with a motor home that has everything I need for my wheelchair and service dog. I have contacted RV parks in the area and have been told that in order to get to the strip I would have to take a cab back and forth. This seems a very expensive proposition when I want to see shows and visit attractions as well as gamble and need to return to home base at least twice a day. Could you help me find some kind of handicapped transportation to and from an rv park that can accommodate me?

Hi, marwlp! Welcome to the forum. This is not my area of expertise, but I would suggest you consider Las Vegas public transportation. They have a very extensive system, and most if not all of their buses are equipped for you. If you can get from your RV to the park entrance, you should be able to get a bus. Their system is also very affordable, especially compared to taxis.

For one example, Arizona Charlie's RV park, at 4445 Boulder Highway, has a bus stop immediately outside it on Bus Route 503

here is an RV park search that show 10 RV parks within a couple miles of each other (including AC's), all on that bus route.

here is the bus website, with the finder shown; type in the address above, and below that check "show all stops" and "show route" and you'll see it.

The bus system also has a website section for paratransportation; you might call them after looking over what they say.

I hope this is helpful.

Let me add this address (below) which may help quite a lot. If you arrange things ahead of time, it looks like you would qualify for free transport 24/7/365.
