I just finished a first draft of my third Ask the Wizard column for the year. Please have a preview of my new column #287. If you find any errors or omissions, please let me know.

If you want to discuss one of the topics addressed, please follow the link back to this site, which is indicated at the end of the answer to each question.

9/5 JoB HE shown is a typo I believe
the next time Dame Fortune toys with your heart, your soul and your wallet, raise your glass and praise her thus: “Thanks for nothing, you cold-hearted, evil, damnable, nefarious, low-life, malicious monster from Hell!”   She is, after all, stone deaf. ... Arnold Snyder

Very minor text typo:

The answer to the "How many hands..." question (#2) says in the first paragraph, "The greater the house advantage and lesser the variance, the greater than chance is."

After that point in the reading, my eyes started to glaze over, so I can't offer any more help.

Jacks or Better 9/6 0.46% 4.42 1540713 2538073 351994 501566

The data points for 97.5% and 99% look like they're missing a digit here.

Thank you. The numbers for 9-6 Jacks were indeed off but I think they were right for 9-5 Jacks. Please have another look and let me know what you think.
