My general request is an HE lower than 2-3%, ability to pay greater than 25-1 on a bet size greater than or equal to $25 (can pay less), and isn't roulette. Because fuck roulette.
I've even seen $25 9/6...ala $125 a pull...
Quote: IbeatyouracesWe've got a couple $5 ($25 a hand) 40/10/6 DDB (99.96%) games here You'll get plenty of variance on them. Not a bad play if you have the BR.
I played these for awhile in Tunica this weekend for only $1.25/hand and lost $40 within 10 minutes. Of course I hit 4 Aces ~24 hours later for a whopping $16 when I was just trying to cut my losses/abuse comp drinks on a 2 cent machine...grrrr

We used to have those at the 25c - $2 level with 1% cashback (up to $40k a month)....but alas they cut them down to 9/6 :'(
I might also be stupid and put down $25 on the fire bet.
Quote: ahiromuI forgot to mention that I'll be in AC, but yeah looks like VP is the right move regardless? I was hoping for a table game side bet but I can't think of one. I know for a fact where a $5 JoB is, I'll look around for a $25 one.

Yeah, there should be plenty of 9/6 JoB in AC for $25/hand. I dunno if I would recommend going much higher though since if you do, then you would have to fill out a W-2G if you hit quads.

Excellent point, thank you. Looks like 9/6 JoB is my best possibility - Triple Bonus pays more but hitting quad aces would require a W-2 as well.
I think a fun game would be a multi-hand poker machine like 100 hands or something. One spin, you'll get at least something back, or maybe you'll hit a royal or two.
At roughly a 2.7% edge, even 8/5 JoB is a better bet than most slots. A one-way bet at single-zero roulette is about the same edge, and a higher variance, but good luck finding a table for less than $50 a pop. I know of a virtual single-zero one with a $1 minimum, but one- and two-way bets are underpaid, so you lose that variance.

The problem with these are that they usually don't fit the OP's requirement of a "smart bet" in many casinos. I personally haven't found many find 50/100 line games that pay much more than 97% in most places (Midwest/Tunica/Vegas Strip). The best one I have seen is at Horseshoe Hammond (99.96% Deuces), and that's at $5/hand. The next best one I've played is at Casino Royale of all places...lol (98.91% Deuces). Having a dealt royal on a multi-line machine was pretty cool though. And any dealt quad would also be a pretty big win in ahiromu's case.
Last time I checked, Trump Plaza is 5x and Bally's is 10x. If I'm having a really good trip, I like to make it to a 10x table and try my lucky ... we'll see how that goes.
