Then I showed the fourteen grand and asked the cashier if she could scan the chips and figure out who I am. She assumed I wanted to cash them and kept asking for my Player Card. I said, but, don't you know who I am from the chips themselves? To summarize, whatever player identity tracking is attached to the chips does not extend to after you have walked away from the table, at least not including by the time of arrival at the cage.
Though I tend to think thatís unlikely.
At Resorts World, and at other Vegas resorts we have stayed at, the maids often seem aggressive about "What time would you like housekeeping, Sir?" if I run into them in the hall and they recognize me as the guy who has been in that suite forever, or I forget to leave the Do Not Disturb Up/On and they ring the doorbell / knock and I open the door. And if I don't like letting the maids in, my wife dislikes it even more.
I never gave it much thought as to why these maids are so aggressive about wanting to come in and clean the room until the other day when I opened the door while waiting for room service, and the maid said something about how "it helps" her if she gets to clean the suite. The way she said it, it made me think that she gets paid for each room she cleans. And maybe she gets paid more for cleaning a huge room. Does anyone know if this is the case? at any of the casino resorts?
Not sure if that includes incomplete rooms or what is available.
Nice Resort in general.
No strip presence or draw, IMO
Long walk from parking garage
The empty lot makes it a hike from Fashion Show mall
Hearing so so on restaurants. Many understaffed and poorly trained.
You can get a pass with cheap restaurants, no one wants crappy service when the steaks are $100.
They should have brought in the Pandas. Thereís your draw.
Seems it is suffering same fate as Virgin. Big show opening and then thud.
I think it's more the combination of the other things mentioned in this thread - high prices, poor service, lack of identity.
I am sure it is busier than Virgin Vegas though - but probably not busy enough to cover that massive Resorts World overhead. Already signs of strain - my wife heard that they had dropped the prices on Tiesto tickets for those not able to get them comp'ed.
I stopped playing almost two weeks ago just been bumming around Vegas since. First this was to get over the cold I caught, and now it's just because I don't feel like playing anymore want to go home with locked in profits. Yes, I walked through RW high limit Baccarat twice this week (weekdays) and the entire salon was flat empty both times.
MD: Did you by any chance check out shorty, the smallish high limit craps table? Just wondering about minimum bet. TIA
I do recall also that the double deck blackjack table was closed in high limit every time I walked through - shoe games only.
The parking structure elevators now finally have a sticker on them indicating that the 1st floor is CASINO. No marking whatsoever before.
