Luck Lady Caruthersville Mo

Has anyone ever visited this casino? It's the closest one to me and the website says that they have craps and blackjack. I'm thinking about checking them out next weekend. Just wondering if anyone has ever been there.

My understanding is that there are no table games in MD so it may be blackjack/craps machines

This is in Missouri. I called the casino and asked and was told that they had a actual craps table. Don't know anything about odds or minimums or if they have more than one. I'm going to go next week and see what it's like. I'm going to try to go early in the morning and maybe the table will be low minimums and not crowded.

I was there a couple years ago. It's a small boat, but they're nice folks. I wouldn't worry much about a crowd - As you probably know, it's not exactly in an urban area:-)

Yeah I don't imagine it's very packed at all. The website says the hours are 9AM to 3AM through the week. You know it's small when they have closing times. This is actually the closest casino to me. I know it's small and will likely be pretty empty but I'm looking forward to checking it out.

FYI, all boats in Missouri close at least every week. The biggest ones only close 1 or 2 hours per week though. :) Also no comped drinks...dammit. If Tunica is only an hour or less further for you, it's a snap-call for Tunica.

I have often teased my g/f to either go to Lady Luck or Isle of Capri-Cape Girardeau on our way to or from Tunica. But we haven't been motivated enough to do the detour yet.

Thanks Doc. I really appreciate the link. I've read several of the chip post and I appreciate your hard work in putting it together. Do you happen to remember what the odds and minimum was at craps?

I know there is no comparison of this place with Tunica. While Tunica is only about a hour drive farther for me I am often within 50 mile of this casino on buisness. I figure it's probably worth the drive when I'm going to be that close anyway. If all goes well I'll check it out next week and give a updated report.

If you scan any decent video poker paytables at Lady Luck while there, let us know. But I think it's doubtful since there are currently no good games listed there.

Can't say that I really remember. I was at the Lady Luck for an hour one Wednesday last July, and senility doesn't permit me to retain such details. I have a note in my calendar about when I played and the fact that I won $110 at craps, otherwise I wouldn't know even that.

On the other hand, I'm a really low-limit player. I suspect the minimum was $5, and if it was anything above $10 it likely would have annoyed me enough that I wouldn't have stayed for an hour and would have remembered the annoyance. I'm so cheap, that if a table is offering better than 2x odds, I'm probably not playing all that they offer each time, so I don't remember that aspect of their game.

I don't really know much about video poker but I'll try to take a look at their machines and see what they have.

Just got back from Lady Luck. Had my first losing session at craps. Talk about a trampoline table!! The dice flew off of the table almost as much as they stayed on. Everyone was having issues with it but I seemed to more than the rest. A gentle lob would cause the dice to bounce completely over the rail. I once tossed and the dice bounced high off of the table and hit the back wall above the pyramids. One die fell straight to the table and died while the other flew into the dice bowl. I did see one thing that was remarkable. The pint was ten and a guy at the opposite end of the table from me was throwing. He set the dice with the hard ten showing. When he tossed them they flew straight and when they landed they stuck to the table like glue. Both of them showing fives. They never came close to the back wall but they paid the line and the guys hard ten as well.

After getting decimated at the craps table I had a strong run at BJ. Got into a nice count and won some decent money. Lost it all back at craps!! I tried three card poker for the first time and hit a royal flush. I was wishing then that I had a pair plus bet out. It paid 40 to 1 for a royal flush. Dealer acted like he had never seen anyone get a royal before. It took him several seconds to figure out how to pay me. I thought he was going to have to ask the pit boss to come help him out. He looked at her a couple of times but never said anything.

Over all this is a decent place. There might have been 75 people there playing. It was really small. One craps table, two BJ tables open, one three card poker ( I was the only one I see play the whole time I was there), and a flop poker table. That was it for table games. There seemed to be several new dealers. This really slowed down things a lot. It's definitely nothing like anywhere at Tunica. Much slower and more relaxed pace. I probably won't drive a hour out of my way to go again but I would stop if passing by. One interesting thing, for signing up for a players card they give ten dollars cash!! Never heard of that before its usually in free play.

I know this thread is a few years old but I thought I would post here instead of starting a new thread. I am going to be in the area tomorrow night so I am going to drop by the boat and play a little. I've been playing a lot more video poker since I was last at the boat so I am going to check out their VP offering and I will report back if there is anything to write about. I searched the vpfree site but I didn't find this casino listed. I assume it's because the games are so bad.

If anyone is close and wants any specific info about this place let me know and I'll try to get it for you.
