Promo Details
I don't know how well this has been advertised,
but well enough that when I was there a week
ago the line was way longer than I was willing
to wait.
In a nutshell, play 30 minutes ( yep, they check
that ) and earn 25 tier credits to get a free
buffet.
It is an average buffet by Las Vegas standards.
What steakhouse do you go to where $20 is a large chunk off the bill. I gotta go there.Quote: bigfoot66At Rincon they call it "Play and Chews". You earn 50 points and you get a free buffet or $20 to any food outlet of your choice. I like that better as I can go to the steakhouse for dinner and get a large chunk taken off the bill.

This is a common Horseshoe promotion, used by all that I've played at except Tunica, where they give you a buffet for sitting down at a table game. It's also an occasional Harrah's promotion as well; it was offered at times at Harrah's Kansas City.
The buffet is okay; not great, but they do have a really cool Mac and Cheese order station that is really good. I'm not a big person of the buffet station concept, but I made the exception there both times I ate there. The dessert selection is pretty good too. Everything else is mediocre at best.

Well if a steak is $30-$40 plus $8 for a side, you are looking at a $45 bill per person, $20 is about 45% of $45.
The stupid buffet closes at 10pm on weekends and I have to earn the points before I eat.
Call me Slow, but this is nothing more than an inducement to gamble there the NEXT day and lose some more.
I don't know how much adult language is allowed on the board, but that is "comp" is F-ing worthless.
As a side note, I have single $15 match play coupons from now until hell freezes over, but you only get one a week. That's almost worth printing, clipping, remembering, and actually playing.
Quote: Maverick17This promotion is rediculous.

Well I'm not dancin' in the streets over it either,
I just thought it was worth mentioning as an
fyi.
The line was so long for the (mediocre)
buffet when we were there, we didn't
use the comp. But I am HOPING that
they will still honor it if I get back there
in the next couple of weeks.

Please be careful how much you trash this promotion. I don't think Horseshoe would be likely to change it, as they offer it at a lot of properties, but remember, THEY ARE OWNED BY CAESARS! Just try getting a free buffet for a half hour of play at Caesars, Harrah's or any property outside of a Horseshoe or in Tunica. The pit supervisor will probably be friendly and tell you that you'll need a "little more play," which means about 20 hours on a $50 BJ table.
Yes, it may seem like it's just a little, but it's a LOT more than what you get from most CET properties.

OK, fair enough. I thought it was good
enough to mention here in a thread.
I wouldn't be surprised if someone
in marketing has a google alert to
look for posts related to their casino.
It just makes good sense to keep
a finger on the pulse.....
