What should I do about this gabling dream

It's friday so I figure you peeps can use a fun discussion. Here is the dream I had last night.....


I was a craps dealer at a casino. During the shift they closed the table and took all 4 of the dealers to the sportsbook for "training." Training consisted of talking to "sharps" who gave us a good tip and some handicapping advice. Like most dreams the details fall off the longer you are awake and I only think the tip was "bet against North Carolina." Another sharp was working for the casino and gave some advice I forgot. All the while the table was closed and the pit boss unconcerned.

I can't even dream normal I think.

Do gamblers ever give a tip of "Bet against Team X" rather than saying "Bet for Team Y"?

Have you enrolled in Craps Dealing School yet? Or purchased that Craps Dealing DVD yet?

You been practicing drop cutting regularly?

Seems easy to test. However, are you certain what event the sharp was referring to? Was it the NCAA Men's College Basketball tournament opening round, final round?, 2011-12 BCS Championship?, Field Hockey...?

A horse bettor has a dream. All throughout the dream, he sees, very vividly, "5". I mean, the number 5 is ALL OVER that dream.

So he wakes up, goes out and hails the fifth cab he sees, and goes to the track. He steps up to the fifth window, and bets on the fifth horse in the fifth race.

Ya know what? The shit worked!

The horse came in fifth!

Sigh, sorry, but I can't give you any advice about North Carolina, or what to do about your dreams.......

You don't know what sport. It could be anywhere from basketball to football to women's hockey. And you don't know what game either. Could be collegiate or professional. But if it makes you happy, take a poll of a handfull of games against NC and bet against them in low dollar denominations. If you win, give yourself a good chuckle and buy yourself another pillow and dream away.

I had a dream once that when I got dealt 3 jacks in pai gow poker the next hand was going to be a 7 card straight flush. Well I have not gotten dealt 3 Jacks yet, but other players have been dealt 3 jacks, so I make a sucker side bet to see if it will come and so far it hasn't, perhaps I have to be dealt the 3 jacks!

Tips or no tips, it's always good advice to sleep more often.

I suppose it's harmless to make a soccer bet now and then. Your dreams come from your own subconscious mind. Ask yourself what your subconscious knows that you aren't aware of. It may even be a memory of something that's ahppened, or that you saw, or read about, or imagined, or daydream, et etc.

On that vein, back when I played lotto I dreamt I won a big prize (not the jackpot, not even in dreams) that required going to the lotto offices to cash. When trying to cash it, the machine kept rejecting my ticket, until the cashier told me "Your ticket's been improperly cut. I can't pay you anything."

Well, some weeks later I did win a prize like that (around USD $3,000 to be split ten ways if memory serves). When trying to cash it, the machine kept rejecting my ticket until the cashier said "This ticket seems to have been badly cut. I'll have to input the number manually."

Oh, the cut refers to the way the machine cuts the paper when spitting out the ticket. It was common for lesser prizes, cashed at any lotto agent, to have trouble because of badly cut tickets.
