Are the savings an illusion?
I recently had a tangle with a company that basically does one of those bait and switch 30 day free trial scams. They quietly hide the fact that once the free trial expires, you Automatically get Renewed for ANOTHER 6 months worth of product!
Luckily, my bank has an alert to any pending charges BEFORE they post to the account and I received a warning before the free trial was up. I also put a Siri reminder on day 28 to cancel in case!
So I cancelled via email and their website(shady AF site BTW) and surprise surprise they STILL tried to charge my account.
I instantly requested reimbursement and they said "Your trial ended last night since the month is over, it's being automatically renewed"
However, I showed the email and confirmation of the start date of said trial, followed by the written request to cancel it and a screen shot of the confirmation on their web site. They still did nothing.
Then I presented all this evidence to the Better Business Bureau and filed a complaint against the company. All of a sudden, I had a "Manager" emailing me there was an accounting error and they were suddenly willing to refund my money in full, as long as I claimed that my BBB complaint was "resolved".
I didn't care too much about slowly shutting their business down with bad reviews, so I obviously took my money back. But it was rather funny they tried to act all hard until they were put in their place!
I know a young man named Frederic who may find this argument intriguing.

Yep, they hide VERY SHADY stuff in the fine print. As an April Fools joke, Companies put something like,"If you agree to this service, you give us permission to have complete Power Of Attorney over you," in the fine print and Customers signed up for the services, not reading the fine print! ☣️🤐 Luckily it was JUST an April Fools joke and not legally binding documents! 💡

Forget the 31st of a month.
Buy on a leap year to get 4 years for the price of 1/12th!

In the short term, she was correct. Had I renewed on the 28th, my membership would end on the 28th of March, now, it expires on April 1st. It was a one-time savings.
