Anyone here ever accept credit cards on a small scale?

Has anyone here ever accepted credit cards as an individual on a small scale? Background is I have an unbanked renter who will be getting money put on one of those stored value Visa cards. The kind employers now place your money on if you cannot do direct deposit. I need an easy and efficient way to let them use it to pay me. So talking need 1-2 payments a month. I do not want to buy a card scanner or anything fancy.
