Smoke conditions this week

With the smoke from the California headed east, and the smoke from the Colorado fires headed west, there is a good possibility the two will meet and merge in western Utah and northern Arizona, creating a very dangerous condition for people with breathing issues.
The difference between fiction and reality is that fiction is supposed to make sense.

What I'm noticing is while it is very hazy in the daytime, so the clouds and sun are partially unseen, for some reason it clears up at night.
I sat out last night around midnite and the stars were amazing. Right now, the sun is obscured and the whole sky is hazy.
I imagine the nigh has a different wind pattern.
