The scariest movie I have ever watched is The Orphanage.

I rewatched Re-animator. It's much campier then I remembered.
It's on Showtime this month.

The difference between fiction and reality is that fiction is supposed to make sense.

"Biodome" is scary because it was released instead of tossed in a dumpster or burned.
There's no secret. Just know what you're talking about before you open your mouth.

House of 1000 Corpses was the last good scary horror movie, the rest are all failed attempts at horror,

Alien is a classic sci-fi movie, not a horror movie.

Nightmare on Elm Street is the most entertaining one.

The ordinal Friday the 13th is the model for the "kill the stupid coed" genre.

I personally like the remake of The Fly.

Psycho should be on the list.

I'd categorize Alien as sci-fi/horror fusion. Call it "Creature from the Black Lovecraftian Planet". Event Horizon would be another mix example.

You guys might want to check out Italian horror films. "Black Sunday" (1960) is a must see for the horror connoisseur.

"Black Sabbath" (1963), which gave the rock band its name, features one of the creepiest corpses I've ever seen in a film....

...and I'm very glad I didn't stumble across it when I was ten years old.

Meanwhile, you'd be surprised how much "borrowing" the "Friday the 13th" guys did from the film "A Bay of Blood" (1971).
Have you tried 22 tonight? I said 22.
