I would like to know who's interested in a cribbage league from here, if anyone.
I propose we try a very simple online game. This link:
https://www.playok.com/en/cribbage/#
Leads to a free site, where the basic game can be played by 2 or 4, either as a guest, or sign up. There do not appear to be any ads. I watched a couple, played 3 with random users, it's very straightforward in play. You select 2 of 6 for the crib (alternate deal), play your hand, it auto-scores the laydown after play. First to 121 wins the game. Each game takes less than 5 minutes.
I didn't try any other sites, so if someone has a better one, please post it. I just Googled for this one, no ad link or anything involved.
I would suggest we sign up with user names that start WoV__(something resembling your name on here) so we can find each other, though it's a small site.
If you sign up, it keeps track of your master points, fwiw. But we could, with enough interest, have a round-Robin best of 3, 5, or 7 to determine each winner, report it here, track the overall progress. Give pairings a couple days to coordinate a time for their game. Run a small winner'a pool if people wanted.
Anybody want to try it?

If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

I am a definite maybe. I played cribbage as a tyke with my father, then as an adult I have one friend that plays. I don't think I've played in 10 years.

I would like to try it. I have played cribbage in the last few years and have found it to be a surprisingly complex and rich game and a lot of fun. I do not claim to be particularly good - I've lost more than half of the online games that I've played against live players.

Yes! Most of my gambling trips are actually to cribbage tournaments, including the world's largest cribbage tournament coming up next week. Hustling old-timer cribbage players is probably my best AP move at the moment.

Excellent! I had thought the thread died a-borning.
Anyone who's interested, please sign up at the free site in the OP. If we find a better one, we can always move. Post here once you're a member, and we'll start scheduling some 2 day windows for head-to-head round robin matches.
Games only take 3 to 5 minutes with the computer scoring. I would like to suggest a best-of -7 to start, which at worst would take less than an hour. Luck in the deal can be a significant factor, so I really think it's worth not playing a single or even best of 3.
I would suggest the initial round of games be for no stakes. After people get used to the game, perhaps we can do a tournament pool for low stakes.
I am signed up and willing to make a date.

Graphics and game info for cribbage on the website link in the original post are below average. I suggest checking out www.pogo.com -and then scrolling down their hundreds of games and find cribbage. To test run Cribbage, play a game "against robots." The Pogo site allows you to play either as a paying or non-paying member. I'm a paying member, so I'm not sure how bad the advertisements are for non-paying members.
