Just to use Britney Spears or Celine Dion as examples…my question is:

When the contract say, pays Britney $15million for Celine $33million for their respective residencies, who pays the dancers, choreographers, director, lighting guys, etc…does that come from the hotel/casino or does the performer pay them from their salary?

Celine's old man? They say he gambles over $1 million a week.

From what I've heard long ago, he was barred in a few places as a high stakes card counter. He plays poker as well.

ace,

From long ago in the business, the standard was that the headliner's salary was just one item on the contract; the venue or promoter would generally pay the salaries of everyone else in the company, including the star's dresser, makeup person, hairdresser, dancers, musicians, etc. Not sure how it is today, except to say that every contract can be written to include or exclude anything. I think bands have a little different deal, where generally the band as an entity is paid and they divide it internally among themselves, the agent, possibly roadies/techs that travel with them, though sometimes those salaries were a plus-up item.
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

Van Halen: M&Ms with the brown ones removed. There was a reason for it though.

Yup they wanted to ensure the promoters were actually reading the rider!
