This is precious.

A batch of Eliot Jacobson's excellent handbook on Designing Casino table games was wrapped in a cover of a Lesbian soft porn romance novel called "Hot Line," to be distributed at the Raving Consulting booth at the BNP Media Host Development Conference. A manufacturing/QA error on a printing run.

Read the story here. His seminal work.

LOL

Poor Eliot.

But he did make some good jokes in the post.

The cover may also get even more people to read it!

To borrow from Seinfeld : Not that there's anything wrong with that. :-)

When looking under the Forums heading only the first four words of the thread title can be seen so this is going to get some hits.

Just to be clear, exactly one book in the box was printed that way. My hypothesis is that one cover was left in the machine from the previous printing.

Eh hem, "seminal" work?

Quite possibly, but there was a history of printing complaints so who knows what covers may be out there and what page sequences there may be.

Since soft core porn is such a profitable business niche, you may now move all your videos over to the WIGS channel on YouTube which markets soap operas about strong female characters.

Eliot -

Thanks for having a sense of humor about this.

Your post, the responses, and the comments here, all gave me a good laugh.
Superstitions are silly, childish, irrational rituals, born out of fear of the unknown. But how much does it cost to knock on wood? 😁 Note that the same could be said for Religion. I.E. Religion is nothing more than organized superstition. 🤗

You should send a copy to have the cover signed by Ms. Grey.
