Heading to Vegas again this weekend and after a few days in Laughlin, I am staying at Red Rock. As a craft beer bar owner and lover I am always looking for new and unique brews. I have done all the places on the strip like Public House, Todd English and Monte Carlo. I know there is a Yard House at RR, but was wondering about BJ's or any other places close to RR. How is the food, service and the brews? Any feedback is appreciated.

I usually find myself at a BJs here in So. Cal once a month but have never been to the one in Vegas. I'm assuming it's the same chain? The beer and pizza is good; service is fine. My best friend ended up dating one of the servers there so I guess he really liked the service (giggidy). Their most popular beer is probably the "Jeremiah Red". I usually get the beer sampler which has all their normal craft beers and a seasonal for around $12.
100% risk of ruin

I discovered BJ's in California, and now we have a few of them here in Orlando. It's worth a visit, but its really just ok. They brew their own beer, all the usual suspects: blonde, red, brown, porter, stout, hefe, pale, IPA. I don't think the IPA is any good, and none of them are really outstanding. I usually get the hefe or the brown. They have a broad assortment of food. Pizzas are their specialty. I really like their jambalaya. The place is a good deal during happy hour, when beers are $1 off and most appetizers and mini pizzas are half price.
The place to go for beer in Vegas is the Freaking Frog, near UNLV. I think they have something like 1000 different beers in their cooler. The beer menu comes in a fully loaded ring binder. You'll be able to get exotic beers here that you won't find anywhere else. Of course, its nowhere near RR.

PS. I forgot: the pumpkin ale at BJ's is actually quite good. They used to serve it for about 2 months in the Fall. It has become quite popular, and now it sells out too quickly. If you're not there on the right week, you'll miss it.
I really like pumpkin beers!
