Post whether you're definitely attending and whether you're bringing other people (no restrictions on that, BTW. You can bring in friends, family, acquaintances, and as many as you wish).
Post whether you intend to come, but are no yet certain you can, and again with how many additional people.
I need an at least approximate count in order to make lunch reservations, and to determine how to make the party favors.

May I suggest that you edit your first post of this thread to create an updateable list of attendees? I think you kept such a list up to date last year so we could all keep an eye on who was definite, probable, etc.

For a full-time pro like yourself, I would not expect you to risk your identity in a gathering such as this. Bob - exactly why I stated I wanted a pic with you - plus, you said you are NOT coming, then I immediately asked if you were coming ( thought it might persuade you to at least join us and say hello) - then you can actually be a part of one of my trip reports!

My friend Anna may likely come (you'll all have to get our names straight... I'm Anne and she's Anna), but I may have a couple more join me. And also of the friends who may be coming I'm not sure whether they'll be joining the Saturday noon lunch since they don't know anything about this website and may not have any interest in gambling activities and such after and may just come to Vegas with me but end up doing their own thing. But you can add at least one of the options to the maybe list for sure.

To be fair (why?) it may not be a matter of courage. For many people the persona they project in boards such as this one is a sort of fantasy life, as is much of what happens on the net overall. So they may not want to mix fantasy with reality. And others simply may not care to meet the people who post here. And some may lack the courage to meet the people they've been teeing off incessantly for years and years.
Also, keep in mind people are less restrained online, on average. I'm a lot nicer in person, or so they tell me ;P

I expect to arrive in Las Vegas sometime mid-week and maybe take the "red-eye" back home on Saturday night. The problem for me is that there is a "little car race" in Indianapolis that Sunday that I never (or, at least, rarely) miss.
In trying to pin down specific details from reviewing the posts about the get-together, I regret that I am a little confused.
It seems the only definite time there is a gathering of "attendees" is at Noon on Saturday, May 25, at The Sugar Factory Restaurant at ParisLV. Is this correct?
I'm tempted to refer to the discussion about the luncheon as "the moveable feast." The fact that it has ended up at ParisLV is especially appropriate as tribute to Heminway's memoirs.
Are all of the attendees expected to be at the lunch? I think I recall from a very early post that the Wizard had a conflict that weekend and he may or may not be at the luncheon.
Is there an agreement or consensus or whether there will be any other gatherings? I know there is a discussion still about going to a casino for possibly craps on Saturday afternoon--not yet decided, correct? Has anything been decided for certain about whether anyone is getting together on Friday or at any other time, and if so, where?

I am currently open to doing other activities with members but not sure how much time I will be doing separate activities with my friends if any come with me. I do plan on spending some time relaxing poolside on this trip. Maybe just a little bit. I want to do that more for leisure than for showing off my body because I don't weigh near what I did at my weigh-in unfortunately. :( But I'm still going to come out and have fun, even though I'll be heftier than I was the last time I came out there. I had a lot of fun on my last trip and met a lot of cute guys who were also visiting from out of town and I'm hoping the extra weight I'm carrying this time around won't prevent me from getting hit on by cute guys like the last time I was there!

I'll be in town until June 8th (long, long, long vacation!!) From May 26th til then, I'm open to any number of things. I've mentioned a trip to Hoover Dam, but I'd also be willing to do repeat trips to the Pinball Hall of Fame (not museum), the Atomic Testing Museum and the Mob Museum (in fact I very much want to visit the latter again), and the CSI thing at MGM.
In short, any of the usual tourist traps around Vegas, except any place with any kind of loud music (noise).
