Were they butch females, was it the chick from the gas station ? Minorities?Quote: aceofspadesI was taught, growing up, to allow everyone on the elevator to exit before I stepped in -- apparently that is not the rule as, before he doors are even fully open, people waiting for the elevator are already stepping in and even bumping into the people attempting to exit

PS. Walk on the right the side of the dam walkway in the USA.
In casino walkways DON'T suddenly stop for no good reason. If you spot yourself at least .25 fine. Don't lollygag and crowd up everyone..
In the last 6 months i see staff rushing to enter the sallyport before the staff inside are able to exit. Much like what is described. Now I want out of the prison and want to go home and they are racing to get in.
Casino action happens on the floor not the room. It's not just elevator in the past six months but it is strange.

Agreed. And you shouldn't even have to be taught elevator etiquette, it is OBVIOUS to let people get out before you get in.
I also hate when a group stops to chat and blocks the entire hallway. What are you thinking, BE CONSIDERATE for a change.

A millenial would say something like that.......

When at the courthouse I have to ride an elevator many times a day. I always try to let people exit first, but sometimes a few things happen. One is if they are "hidden" when the door opens and you cannot see them. Happens sometimes. Next is they lollygag about leaving the thing. That happens sometimes as there are lots of visitors who do not know the building. Usually it is a combo of them both.
My bigger issue is the lumps who act like they have never had to pass a security checkpoint and metal detector. Slows everything down. Or they are carrying a pocket knife or something. Once a woman had a horse pick and had to check it. Come on!

Well in fairness, I think its just a matter of understanding that there will be differences in outlook and perception. Here's a helpful guide for employers.

Yep, fun video. But in fairness, I will say that the new hire 20-somethings where I work are smart and capable and appear to be consiencious and hard-working. Generally, they have a professional/technical background.
IE, so not your stereotypical millenials.
