We get it you hate Obama,
So vote for the man who believes that Joseph Smith was a prophet.
Cause he is really grounded in reality.

I don't hate anybody. I just think the bias in the press is
so obvious. Its not leading the news in the mainstream
media at all.
The book 'Amateur', about Obama's qualifications and
job report on his first 3 years in office, debuted at #1
on the NYT best seller list. People are definitely interested.

Not sure what you watched...It led the local news at both 5 and 10 here in Minneapolis, and the national news at 6 and 10. (all times central)

Well, the press did love to laugh at how W said "New-cleer" for "nuclear." He did it off the prompter, which as we learned from criticism of Sarah Palin is often written phonetically as even an intelligent person does not read out loud well when the material is above a 7th grade level or so. Think when you read to yourself, how many words do you have to think about? Now imaging doing it in front of people. Hence "new-clear."
It does make you wonder about the intelligence of Obama's WH staff. I mean, the camps were locates in Poland, that is not in dispute. But someone with even a high school education knows the krauts ran them. I attribute that to someone trying to be "smartest in the room" and show that they knew many camps were in Poland.
Quote: AZDuffmanWell, the press did love to laugh at how W said "New-cleer" for "nuclear."
Actually, he said it "NUKE-la-ler". Repeatedly. Despite his handlers telling him how to say it correctly. Search youtube.
Golly the Polish government asked that term, which had been in common use since the war, be stopped being used in 2005. Anyone with a high school education pre 2005 should have known that. As to the complicity of the ethnic Germans who were Polish citizens during WWII has been examined in detail elsewhere. But it is nice to see AZDuff and EagleEye Bob jumping on the PC bandwagon. It is a fun ride when it goes your way isn't it.
But Evenbob your hypocrisy is only eclipsed by your misinformation. You seem to forget the God of the GOP President Reagan in 1985 calling the German SS soldiers "victims" of the war and deciding to lay a wreath at a cemetery containing the graves of German SS. Even Pat Buchanan told Reagan to not go but Reagan said it would be bad to back down. Strong leader. Straight to the cliff men!!
(Google "Bonzo goes to Bitburg" Fun song)
The sad part is this is what the Republican party has disintegrated into. A clown car grasping at straws.

You believe what the mainstream media tells you? Golly you pick and choose a lot don't you.
I think you also mean the NYT Non fiction Best Seller list which sells a fraction of the Fiction list. about 20x the amount of people interested in "The Amateur" are more interested in "An inexperienced college student that falls in love with a tortured man who has particular sexual tastes" of Fifty Shades of Grey.
BTW remember when Palins book went to #1? Oh yeah almost all copies were bought by conservative groups and given away free.

Not sure what nbc site you check but I would say check again. But Face it eagle Eye this is only news to Teaparty folk and the Polish who want to ignore the staggering amount of Poles who enlisted in the Waffen SS.
But as I said before I like the names you make up for your President. If you were 8 I would say cute but I imagine now it is early onset dementia.

they would still be taliking about it. For some reason
Dem's are always cut some slack in the brains dept.
Its because they 'mean well', and that counts for
everything.
Now they're saying voter picture ID cards hurt Blacks and
Mexicans, its unfair. Yet those same people need a picture ID
to drive a car, buy liquor or cigarettes, open a bank account,
get welfare, and a myriad of other things in society. Why
is it a hardship when exercising the most sacred right we
have, the right to vote.

I'll give you 10k EagleEye if you can name all 55 states? Heck I'll up it to $50k.
Man that was too funny. I know once you Google how many states the USA has you will claim you were joking.
No matter who is "Dumber" Bush or Obama they shine next to you.

What amazes me is that nobody has mentioned you need ID to get a JOB! Check form I-9, you are not allowed to employ a person without their producing an ID. In fact, you might need TWO forms of ID, the most common combo being drivers license and SS card, though I just show my passport which can be used as standalone.

I think EB was making a double-joke here to show the incompotence of Obama and lack of a sense of humor on the part of liberals. Obama said there were 57 states and he said Hawaii was part of Asia. In return, SNL pulls bits about Obama nor do you see Letterman making jokes about him. Had if been Bush you would still be hearing about it. Had it been any conservative you would be hearing about it.
Quote: AZDuffmanWhat amazes me is that nobody has mentioned you need ID to get a JOB!
You need a picture ID to get a players card. Or food stamps.
Or buy airline tickets. The list is endless, yet for the one thing
that makes the most sense of all of these, voting, you don't
need to show an ID. Its ludicrous. And its always the kings
of voter fraud, the Dems, who are against it. Duh..
Quote: rdw4potusThere's a little bit more weight associated with making it hard to vote
Requiring an ID doesn't make it 'hard', what citizen is walking around without
ID? Even homeless people need ID to get the basics. However, it DOES make
it hard on illegal aliens, who aren't allowed to vote anyway. And because 99%
of them vote Dem, lets not rock the boat and get carried away with making
citizens produce ID's either. Or dead people. Or those voting 3-4 times.
I have 4 picture ID's and I'm not even trying. A DL, a library card, my health
club card, and Sams Club. Make that 5, my prescription card. I don't feel the
hardship, when does that kick in?
Quote: rdw4potusWorking isn't a constitutional right. Neither is public assistance, or getting a casino loyalty card. There's a little bit more weight associated with making it hard to vote, versus making it hard to get a free buffet.
I heard on the radio this morning about the supposed "war" against a certain segment of our society with regard to voting by, for example, requiring people to produce a picture ID. The implication was that it was some sort of financial stress on certain people. In this case, I'd be all for setting up a government program that would subsidize any costs relating to people obtaining such an ID, if it would further reduce voter fraud. Even if done, I'm sure people would make other ridiculous arguments to maintain the status quo...

congratulations. And, obviously, only the state-issued DL would work for voter registration.
FWIW, I have 4 photo IDs: DL, student ID, passport, and passport card.

Not true. Every state issues a state ID thats not a DL.
For registration a photo ID with your address would work,
or you can bring a copy of a utuility bill with your name
and address to accmpany a photo ID. None of these are
hardships on a real citizen, only on people who are here
illegally. I forgot my passport, thats 6 ID's.

No, that's two IDs for voter identification purposes: the DL and the Passport.
And it's a burden for at least a couple reasons. One is that getting to the DMV and getting a state ID is "difficult" and "costly" for low-income voters who don't drive. The other, which affects me this election cycle, is the timing aspect. I'm moving from MN to PA in this fall. PA requires 30 days' advance notice to register to vote. I won't have time to establish residence and get a PA DL before the deadline, and I won't yet have received a utility bill my new residence either. So PA's voter ID requirements will completely screw me over. On the other hand, if someone were to move from PA to MN, they could register on election day with photo ID, utility bill, or a neighbor to vouch for them.

You should not be allowed to register on election day. That is another fraud magnet. Voting is not supposed to be as simple as ordering a pizza.
Can't you people post in the appropriate threads...?

Yes, it is. That's the only way to ensure that nobody's constitutional rights are being infringed upon.

Not at all. The majority has a right to a clean election. There is no right in the constitution to "easy" voting. The states have a duty to eliminate fraud. Same day registration is about nothing but fraud. How hard is it to register ahead of time? And you have to establish being more than a transient to be able to vote.

It's impossible for me this year thanks to your GD state:-P (soon to be my state as well). I'm moving in October, and I'll miss PA's 30 day advance registration deadline.

At less than 30 days you are not a resident so you are not really entitled to vote in a local election. Otherwise many transient workers could register and vote in elections they have no stake in. It is just logic to have such a requirement.

Whether you are voting for POTUS or city council you are voting local and in that state. And if you are not yet a resident you don't get to walk up and vote.
