I've taken those before and discovered I was dead. [g]

In all seriousness, if I am lucky I'll be 82 or so. It would be extremely valuable to know when one is actually going to die. It would affect a lot of decisions, like when to start collecting social security.

87 years. Those questions were pretty generic. It's probably best used for retirement account distribution calculations.

Says I will make it to 73, which I find optomistic based on family history.

88. The alcohol cost me three years.

I must admit I cheated a little. Like on the accidents/tickets in the last three years I put 0, although I fell into a speed trap about two years ago. I drive very little and quite safely, so think I deserved to put 0.

My own simplified actuarial calculator put me dying at 78 only.

I had a fender bender a few months back, which required a call to the insurance agency. But I also put down zero. I mean, I was moving at less than 5 mph.

The driving part I cheated on as well. Been in an accident, got rear-ended so it was 100% the other driver's fault. It was also at very low speed. Maybe it should be worded "at fault" accidents?

Why would anyone want to give up a nice gold beer or shor of Johnnie Walker Blue for 3 more years?

OK, here's a challenge:

I was able to have the thingy produce an expected lifespan of 19 by my input of information. Can anyone get a shorter expected lifespan than that out of the thingy?

Oh, 19 is easy. Start with male, 16, short, overweight, and choose the last answer every time. You get 19 that way.

71, and that's probably pushing it.

Funny how smoking weed drops the score 9 years (just had to click to see) yet my nearly all meat diet only dropped it 2. I think they got their numbers crossed =p

How are you's scoring so high? My bp is fantastic, I have/had old grandparents, I get out and I'm active, I don't drink...my only knocks were my pack a day and carnivorous nature. "Beef, it's what'll kill you"?

Part of what I do for fun is to break software ... get it to perform in a way that is outside of its specifications ...

Ok, here's the thing, I managed to actually get a final age of 7 as my expected life span ...there's no easy way to explain it, but I did it ... I think that constitutes "outside" since I DID put in 16 as my age to get started ... and everything else I did was to just answer the questions ... in some fashion ...

Can anyone here figure out how I got "7" out of the gadget?

Can you do better?

Start with a height and weight of zero. Go with whichever answer increases expected age by either zero or one

Estimated Age 7 Years
