math riddle for you all

Three men check into a hotel and pay $30 for the room. the manager realizes that the room rate is only $25 and gives the bellboy $5 to give back to the three men. The bellboy realizes that splitting $5 amongst three men will be hard so he gives back $3 to the men to split $1 each and keeps $2 as a tip. the men originally paid $10 each minus the dollar back totaling $9 each, making the grand total paid $27 and the bellboy kept $2 as a tip making the grand total $29. Where did the extra dollar go?
