Yes inexperienced young people are almost always right when you compare them to experienced people who've actually accomplished things and who are older. This is why young people rule the world. Oh wait, they don't rule anything. Never mind..
Old people rule the world because they inherit wealth and pull the ladder up. That's what young people are complaining about.
Literally no one outside their own small support bases thinks Putin, Xi, Trump etc are good leaders. They are international pariahs.
You think women and young people and (judging from the tone of the thread) foreign people/ethnic minorities are all wrong/bad and this small subset of wealthier, mostly white American men who benefit most from this system are right. I don't think any one buys that bs any more other than old rich white guys.

Warning: No political speech in this forum, particularly partisan political speech. Mentioning Trump or a prominent Democrat and insulting them is partisan speech. There are many forums for expressing your political viewpoints, but WOV is not one of them. Dial it back or face suspension.

Oh I see, You can post grotesquely offensive far right misinformation continuously but everyone else has to obey your CCP level censorship protocols.

I believe you started naming names.
It's your call if you want to take the hint to back down a notch or deal with repercussions.

I have no interest in discussing US politics, if that is what you mean.
But I'm certainly not going to ignore some of the dangerous, hateful far right conspiracy theories and misinformation Gordon888 has been pushing. I suspect that IS what you mean in which case spare me the tedious kangaroo court BS and transparent justification.

Perhaps they are right! But that would have to be demonstrated.
Maybe you can help by speaking for them. I paid attention to what Bill wrote and he used the word "hatred." Please explain to me what condition in our society could be improved if we had more hatred of persons.
I do not believe these juveniles hate the rich, but rather envy them, and hate that they are not also rich. Very flawed thinking? Why would you hate what someone else has? My massive phallus does not make anyone else's smaller.
Never envy someone else's fate or fortune.
Did it occur to you that they may simply want a better life. Where they can afford a mortgage and afford or receive basic healthcare and state support, for a decent wage? As is the case in most civilized countries and was the case for older generations of americans. Rather than the true value of their labour being skimmed off the top by your beloved ceo's to produce asinine pipe dreams.

How does hatred lead one to a better life? Everybody wants a better life. All those people back in the 1930s who stuck their right arms out and burned books and smashed storefronts just wanted a better life too. Somebody who robs a bank with a gun wants a better life. A guy who wants a pretty girl, so he ambushes one on a hiking trail and drags her into some bushes and indulges himself, he's trying to improve his quality of life too.
You may call those things "just want a better life." I call them "Give me what I want, or I'll hurt you" and it qualifies one as a damned psychopath. There is nothing redeeming about hatred of any person or class of person. Hatred is a tool the psychopath uses to identify and isolate his chosen target.

Wrong. Only the teeny tiniest part of old people have inherited any wealth. I'm an old person and I inherited nothing and I don't know anybody who has. We rule things because we're educated and experienced, whereas young people are just educated if they're lucky. And they're only partially educated because what you learn in the real world dwarfs anythng you learned in college. Way too many young people these days get out of college and think they should be immediately rewarded and have the same perks and make the same money and be in the same financial position as somebody in their 50s. It doesn't work that way, it's never worked that way, it will never work that way. You have to earn what you end up with nobody's ever going to give it to you.

Do you rule the world (actually that would explain everything...)? I'm guessing you don't. Only a tiny amount of people rule the world and they inherit their wealth.
Please spare me the boomer "young people don't know their born!" stuff . It wasn't true when I was young and it isn't now. Young people are angry that their lack of purchasing power means they can never achieve anything, which was not true even for my generation let alone yours.

It is you who keeps going on about hatred, I'm not sure why.
Political violence is generally speaking something most would prefer to avoid. But I see little actual political violence or hate except that coming from the establishment down on the people. I'm not surprised people trapped in modern serfdom resent their masters that said.
It took some time, but some of those same posters eventualy migrated here. Such is life. They'll soon move along.

One thing that has really surprised me in dealing with young volunteers is their hatred of the super-rich. It runs surprisingly deep.
I don't believe anyone needs billions of dollars. No one makes a billion by themselves, and at some point, you should reward the people who got you there. I think it is disgusting that the Walton family is all billionaires while many of their employees are on government subsidies. Walmart employees make up the largest employer group for both SNAP and Medicaid. Their employees get government money to buy essential goods in their own store—capitalism at its finest.
Is our country better off if Elon makes $5 billion next year, or if it is split among 5,000 of his employees? Who should decide that?

This is common among people who are a little smarter than average (or in some cases, not referring to anyone on this site, just think they are!)- a bit of intellectual narcissism. Probably every one of us have sinned in this way at some time.
Analyze what makes you think what you think is so important that everyone else needs to hear it. From that point, of believing in your own importance and intellectual superiority, it's easy to get to "I have the right to express this as rudely as I choose, because it is important everyone gets the message!" and then "Those who disagree are dangerous and malevolent fools, deserving of the pouring out of my righteous wrath on them!'
The young people that you have been interacting with, who still know everything, are especially susceptible to this error. Aren't they annoying?
Who decides what Elon, or Bezos, or the Waltons do with their money? Whoever it is, I can tell you for sure, they will certainly have the power to tell you what to do with yours. I don't think about what can be done to someone without at the same time considering it can be done to me as well. That's my "What goes around, comes around" extension of the Golden Rule.

I'd never ask anyone to do something I wouldn't do myself. I'm giving away my wealth by choice and hope others will as well.
Both Forbes and Business Insider have reported that the average billionaire has donated about 1% of their wealth to charity. A handful have donated more than 5% of their worth. Sometimes it takes public pressure to do the right thing.

You can give away your wealth to bums if you want, but I hope others don't. You are enabling them. We have enough bums in our society as it is. We don't need more of them.
