Ín my experience, not good. Of all the foreign sports I screw around with, cricket is probably my worst. I think I do better at baseball and that says something!!! Haha

I have heard far too many horror stories about match fixing. Do a search on "Hansie Cronje" for an example.

I dont feel safe cricket betting. I also don't feel safe about the chances of an affiliate link coming soon.

Yes you read all that right
This couldn't highlight more why I'd never dare to bet Cricket unless of course there was an offer I couldn't refuse, like pick the winner and get a bonus bet for the same, win or lose original bet. Then I'd just trust the oddsmakers, and not go by the score.
Otherwise I'd have to study the game. Not doing it

the next time Dame Fortune toys with your heart, your soul and your wallet, raise your glass and praise her thus: “Thanks for nothing, you cold-hearted, evil, damnable, nefarious, low-life, malicious monster from Hell!” She is, after all, stone deaf. ... Arnold Snyder

A quick explanation of what was going on:
This match was what is called a "one-day international". In this case, each team bats for one inning (well, in cricket, it's "one innings" - "innings" is both singular and plural, and also, "an innings" is what would be called a half-inning in baseball). Australia was batting first (the captains toss a coin before the match; England won, and decided to field first).
Australia was not ahead "218 to 8"; they were "218 for 8" at that point in their innings - that is, they had scored 218 runs, and 8 of their 11 batters were already out. The innings continues until either 10 of the 11 are out, or they have batted for 50 "overs" (300 balls, plus any extra balls for "wides" (baseball equivalent: wild pitches) and "no balls" (baseball equivalent: balks)). The term "over" comes from the fact that, after each other, the bowling now goes over to the other side of the wicket.
The betting line at the time indicates that England was expected to beat Australia's run total in its innings, thus winning the match.
In the end, Australia won, 270 to 202.
As I mentioned at the start of this thread, cricket is very notorious for betting and outright match-fixing scandals.
