Quote: ThatDonGuyIIRC, all 10 cards in VP are "dealt" in advance - the card you receive when you discard a particular card is not affected by what other cards you discarded, or how long you take to push the "draw" button.
Don, Are you saying that is one of the biggest mistakes? Because that is not how modern day poker machines work. Modern machines are continually shuffling the remainder of the deck while you choose your hold cards.
A few years before that, I had taken Clemson at 100-1 and 120-1 to win the college hoops title. They started off something like 16-0 or 17-0, and those odds were long gone two months into the season. Well, it turns out they couldn't handle full court presses and couldn't shoot free throws, and they blew about six games with double digit leads and fewer than five minutes left. They collapsed so hard, they didn't even make the tournament.
Orange, as they say, was the new red for me.
Quote: AxelWolfOne of my biggest gambling mistakes was in my first 6 months of AP'ing. I educated someone who was about to leave town that night after they found no sucsess looking into AP here. They had had some sucsess in a niche gambling area in different state far away that was no longer viable. They just happend to run into me one night and asked me a simple question that lead to more. I made a deal with them thinking it wasn't a big deal, I didnt see the downside. They never honored the deal that should have been many thousands of dollars. Worst than that, they were like a bull in a china shop and they did lots of damage for years to come, and occasionally he became my competition. He also pissed off a lot of other AP's and it was embarrassing to me. Of course, they too did businesses with the guy after I warned them not to and they knew better. He was very successful. I hear he is doing nothing but banging whores in some Asian country and living like a king.
Take heart, his d*** probably rotted off from incurable vd.
A few years ago found a position that was +50% edge on a game and only made low four figures. Found another game that was about +10% and was a little hesitant on it and only made around $100 to $200 per week until it was gone. There was one time I found something even better than those edges and did bet as big as I could ... of course the position I did take lost (getting 10-to-1 betting a game early that ended up closing around even money).
still lots of misinformation posted.Quote: beachbumbabsSome of the misinformation and inconsistency you refute is because LS went back and edited her post. Her original claim was that she pushed a button labeled "C" (not "C&E" or whatever she says now) thinking it meant "CashOut".
you have to agree, with or without any edits.
that seems to be her problem and not mine.Quote: beachbumbabsShe didn't go back and fix every related fact in her story, which sounded bogus to start; now that seems even more likely.
in your opinionQuote: beachbumbabsThe whole point of the story was to start a thread, IMO.
still, the OP has so much FALSE info and, imo, so poorly written, I can't imagine why anyone over the age of 95 would even be interested in reading it.Quote: beachbumbabsIt would be best to disregard the nonsense and learn something about the poster, which is what I'm doing.
so she starts a thread.
for(i=1,uniques,prob=binomial(n,uniqueSeq1)*sum(j=0,uniques-1,(-1)^j*\
binomial(uniqueSeq1,j)*(uniqueSeq1-j)^draws)/n^draws)
EXCELLENT!!
To this day, I have no idea what game I played, but it sure wasn't blackjack!
An hour later I look over at her screen and it’s double bonus poker, the screen reset to another game screen when she was gone and she didn’t notice. Miraculously she managed to stay even while playing JoB strategy on DB for one hour.
