You can host for anything you like but whether or not you get it depends on, of course, your ADT, how high up the totem poll your host is, and how long you've been freqenting that casino. It also depends on the property.

I just came back from a 4 day trip from the GN downtown, I came in with a promotion for a free cruise and $325 show up money. My dogs were a two room suite with a nice goodie basket waiting for me. My host is a "player development " guy (for whatever that's good for).

My final ADT was low, about 190 for only playing craps but he called me at home a few days later to thank me for my stay and invited me back with the suite anytime.

Yes, it's a downtown property and I'd be on the low end of the MGM but I got all the RFB comped. If I asked for more I'm sure I'd have gotten it. It's all about those components.

PS, I get most of what I want because I'm pretty low maintenance and don't ask for anything ridiculous.

Exactly what did you want to ask for in the first place? There are hard comps and soft comps.

Thanks a lot for the suggestions.
He can defineitely get any RFB he wants, but we're more concerned about cash value.
Is free play count as hard or soft comp? is it much harder to ask than RFB?

Before he goes to the casino next time you might want to call and tell the host you have been offered x amount of free play at another casino. Ask the host if they can beat that offer.

Im going to offer some tech insight

I just dont see how there is no freeplay being given with the play you have said is being done

There are some technical reasons he may not be receiving freeplay and I have experienced them myself in the past

Some places will not hand out offers and mailers if they are returned in the mail so first thing is to confirm the casino has the correct mailing address for your person

Next ask promotions why there are no freeplay mailers. There may be other technical glitches involved including an accidental "no-mail" trigger or setting

And yes, your host can examine these things too

But you should be receiving automatic mailers from just about any property based on your numbers

You do know food and lodging have cash value, right? Maybe not full retail cost, but it's not like 0 is a fair valuation.

Actually most businesses state emphatically that offers "have no cash value"

That is their language!

Its mostly to keep people from selling their offers away as well as scalping but if you are going to claim that well...

You need to be held accountable for your claims.

(1) Free play sometimes takes 2-3 months to start. So play in March 1-20 would count for May FP. Vegas is weird and some casinos stagger their months about a week later (so Mar 1-31 would count for FP starting 2nd week of May).

(2) Some Vegas casinos will not offer FP to out of state people (just rooms). They use different formulas for locals.
Some casinos will not offer anything to people outside their marketing area (which could be just a 30-40 mile radius).
They may look at Drivers Licenses in addition to mailing addresses (Nevada drivers license could be bad).

(3) Hosts at some casinos can talk to marketing and raise your FP (even on the same day, I've done this at the Wynn).
At one casino I think my FP was $5 with about 30k-80k coin-in 2 months ago. I figured I had been tagged as an AP, or the casino didn't give much FP for people with an "actual win". When my host found out I only had $5 FP, he made a call, and I got bumped to $300-600/week immediately.

(4) You can be accidentally flagged as out-of-country (Canada, Europe), even with a US address. There are numerous technical reasons.

(5) You can be flagged as an AP.

(6) Some places give no FP if you have an "actual win".

(7) They can Google you, and decide you aren't worth giving FP.

(8) $100,000 on slots is 6,000-8,000 ADT (with 6-8% holds).
Many (most?) casinos will give maximum mailer at 1,000-1,200 ADT, so this person is already 5x-8x over that limit.

Wynn (Vegas) has a coin-in standard for locals. I don't remember the exact numbers (Players club will tell you), but I think 100,000 coin-in in a month will give $200-300/week and 200,000 coin-in will be $500-1,000/week.

Some Players clubs (or hosts) will tell you exactly what is necessary for each level of benefits. (Others are secretive).
One party of their job is to convince heavy players to play more.

One Harrah's host (in this office) turned his computer screen towards me, and explained ADT/ADW, trips, and many other concepts. Told me what they were looking for.
Other hosts will tell me...we need an ADT of 1,000 for top level (10 levels at that casino, not the same as card color), and your ADT was only 836.
Or your ADT of 350 is not high enough for a free room this weekend. We can get you a room for next Friday, but not for today.
Or you've used too much comp (haven't played enough this month), your "player reimbursement rate" for the past 3 months is too high ("overcomped").

In one funny case, a host at a secretive casino told me a whole bunch of technical numbers which I had never known (e.g. how much "player reimbursement" was that casino targeting). Why?
He was a new host who came from a more open-strategy casino, and hadn't shifted to the secretive mind-set yet.
