I have made my way to 7800 tier credits this year which is way more than normal so now I am thinking that I should just get the points needed to earn diamond this year. The founders card is always hit or miss whether they are going to have cet involved every year anyways. If I am remembering corectly I only need 2500 tier and will get a bonus of 5k which would get me there.
Obviously the cheapest EV wise is going to be find 9/6 JoB that does the standard rate on earning tier, but with variance it could cost a ton. I would have to cycle 25k in for this and some people on here know how much I can lose on that coin in.
What are some other options? I would spend $400 on the founders card anyways so I was thinking even something like doey/dont on shoot to win craps, or red/black/green on electronic roulette but I am not sure how many tier you earn for coin in on those.
Any help to ge this done on here or through PM would be appreciated
Quote: gamerfreakQuest for rewards is likely the cheapest way to earn TC’s straight up. But you're super limited by the timing of the promotion.
I wish that I would have planned better. I was in vegas in April when they were doing the quest and got a bunch. Then I was in atlantic city in Aug when they were going double tier credits. Imgur to 7800 without trying. I had no intentions to getting 15k so I wasnt worried about. If I would have given 5 minute of thought about it then I would have gotten it easily.
Quote: GWAEThe last 2 years I have bought the founders card to get my diamond status with CET. It has been well worth it because I have saved resort fees on 17 nights this year plus the other benefits.

In my local casino, hialeah, roulette play earns no points, only slots do and i was personally told a next tier upgrade is 9,000 points (45,000 coin in) .If your casino is like hialeah, i would suggest sticking to playing slots mainly if tier upgrade is your main goal. :)

You are welcome. :)
Quote: onenickelmiracleIf you expect a 5% loss on $25,000 coin, it's $1250, so obviously $625 if 2.5%. I assume the $400 is after January, the deadline for CET is before January. That is a dilemma. Your only hope to spend less than $400 is to royal then, and I'm not sure the tier points will be what you expect. Guess there is some value on piece of mind, if you get it, you have it and don't have to worry about the founder's card. I'm guessing the founder's card isn't also useful for other things you value.
if i'm not mistaken, isn't the founder's card the best card you can get? :/

You are mixing Boones Farm and Tango.
Get an Aunt or Uncle to translate that for you.

founderrs card has lots of other value but nothing that I ever need.
Yeah the big thing is my renewal is Nov 10th. So I need to renew it soon but I wouldnt know until Jan if they renewed their agreement. Once you cancel the founders card supposedly they will never allow you to buy it again so its not even like I could just wait until Jan.
what is a 5% loss. I would hope I didn't lose 5% which is why I am not sure if I want to go the vp route.
Quote: billryanI read a blog about a guy who abused the heck out of his card. I was stunned by some of his plays. Buying a fully refundable first class ticket just to entertain a friend in a luxury elite status lounge at an airport, as an example.
I dont understand. Buy a ticket, go to airport and use lounge, then do refund for the flight leaves?
I am not even sure my airport has the special lounges.

I think that is a great play.

Yes, you can get the refund at anytime if you didn't use the flight. Pittsburgh probably has a lounge for American.

Just looked. American has the only lounge in pittsburgh. It says food available for purchase. Not sure what the point is if no food is included. It is $59 for a day pass.

Most higher end lounges have free food and free alcohol. Some have showers which I have taken advantage of when travelling internationally.
