Ridiculous things your local casinos do?

One local casino charges roughly $15 for a burger and fries when there is a Shake And Steak across the street and sell a burger, fries, soda, a milkshake for roughly $11 including tax and tip! Really? And in happy hour that will be roughly $8! Also they offer a smaller burger, fries, and drink for roughly $5! Add a milkshake and that's $8 without happy hour! During happy hour, you pay roughly $6 altogether with the smaller burger, drink, fries, and milkshake! I was shocked that the local casino charges roughly $15 for just a burger and fries when they know there is a cheaper alternative across the street! Even the employees agreed roughly $15 there was ridiculously expensive considering the cheaper alternative across the street. Another local casino also charges roughly $15 but that casino makes sense since that particular casino is not in front of place to get burgers and fries. The food place across the street is a pizza place not helpful for someone looking for burgers and fries. ;)

In another local casino, the cafeteria and restaurant charges for soda when the bar literally 10 steps away gives FREE soda. WTF? I get my FREE soda at the bar and just take the soda back to the table I am eating at. Why would people PAY for soda when they could get FREE soda just a few steps away? No. Just no!

yeah, the restaurants in the casino must hate the free soda availability when that happens

if they overcharge it makes the comps look like more of a big deal

Charge an ante to play table games.

Card-based roulette and craps (though this is changing soon).

Still lots of smoking.

I think I was in Arizona (somewhere between Palm Springs and Carlsbad Caverns), in line at a place spending new sign up food money, when the person ahead of me got a combo at the food place... They said their fountain was down, so they gave them a cup and told them to fill it at the free soda fountain like 40 feet away.

Casinos in AC charge hundreds of dollars per night for a room when you can sleep under the Boardwalk for free.

I don't remember making a recent thread about ridiculous things casinos do. I did start a thread about loud music in casinos disturbing older players, and I started that thread less than a month after mentioning loud music disturbing older players in a thread that only had two pages. I was sentenced to be suspended for a month for Flooding and the sad thing was, I had actually thought it through before pressing "post," thinking, "This actually might be a bad idea to start this thread since I already have another thread saying the same thing. I overrided my rational side and decided to post anyway. The new thread was soon closed and I saw the message,"Nathan is banned for a month for Flooding." The Admin who did the banning actually asked other Admins something like,"Was banning Nathan for an entire month too harsh for the second thread?" The Admins said,"Banning Nathan for an entire month may have been a bit too harsh, but still Nathan does deserve some kind of punishment for the second thread." The Admins decided a week suspension was fair, so I was lucky to get a much more lenient sentencing. :)

Edit. I looked up my threads started history and the recent thread you are thinking of is,"Worst things other gamblers have done to you in Casinos?" That one was bad things gamblers do to you and this thread is for bad things casinos do to you. :) I

The Ameristar in Blak Hawk. We were at the buffet when a woman at another table suddenly realized that she had left her purse on the drink shelf at her crap table. When she (luckily for her) got her purse back they wouldn't let her back in without paying again.

Why not just start one more thread and call it the Nathan thread(not affiliated with Kentry).

Great idea. Maybe a miscellaneous Nathan discussion thread. Or a subsection called “nathans zone.”

Oh God, I remember the Kentry accusations when I first started posting on here. Yuck. In a strange turn of events, the poster accusing me of being Kentry turned out to be a banned Member himself with a new name. Funny how that turned out.
