What do you mean by the claim that " It's almost like the police refuse to take them alive and give them a choice or threaten people they care for if they don't blow their own heads off?"
Can you cite several examples in support of this outlandish claim?
It's not a claim, just an observation there are rarely mass shooters taken alive. It makes me wonder if the shooters are told they're not going to trial or otherwise threatened with fear. The only person I can think of who decided to stay alive was the white guy who shot a bunch at the black church. Maybe it's common for killers to kill themselves more than I know, but I'd expect more to wait until trial for whatever motivation.Quote: MrVThis guy and the MB shooter both suicided without police involvement.

Maybe because they are mentally unstable and an active threat? If somebody is a mass shooter, non-lethal force is not an option......
And, as was already said, suicide is also common for these people.

I keep thinking these things end with a barricade in some room, if a shooter wanted to live, they would just strip down naked to alleviate any fear it's not over.
