HEY HEY HEY I come to this thread to read about the latest developments on the trash can fire that is Trumps presidency. Let's get off the debit/credit cards and back on the real task at hand... What the waste of breath moron who's a racist, rapist, and bigot is doing today.

Tax Plan... $50k-$75k income paying roughly 4+ billion more in taxes in the next 10 years.... Over $1,000,000 income paying roughly 6 billion LESS in the next 10 years. Yep, really helping out the middle class!

Would be nice to see a link backing up the above. Not that I really care either way. Just seems that way.

Which part do you need backed up, the racist/rapist part or the tax plan part?

I mean... TAKE YOUR PICK of sources that are from the CBO, politifact reviewed, independent studies, etc, etc, etc:

Here's the original quote, from the politifact backed Daily Show, but the clip they show the source is the "Staff of the Joint Committee on Taxation and the Congressional Budget Office". So yes, this is straight from the CBO:

1) $50,000-$75,000 by 2027 will pay $3,980,000,000 MORE in taxes.
2) $1,000,000 or over by 2027 will pay $5,780,000,000 LESS in taxes.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vv8yh7kJt1E

Colbert (here's his politifact rating: http://www.politifact.com/personalities/stephen-colbert/ )
Also discussing how 6 white house officials use private email servers, for which he wanted to lock hillary up:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L73ZBrBusBs

Seth Myers (citing washinton post)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9OfAHgdV8Y

Literally from the CBO, or you can take the independent politifact rating and see that everyone is reading from the bill and on the same page.

1) Elimination of Obamacare Mandate (putting ~14 million out of health insurance by 2027)
2) Slashing corporate tax from 35% to 20%.
3) Doubling standard deductions BUT ELIMINATING individual state and local deductions

New Amendments:
1) Tax breaks for Private Jet Owners
2) Tax breaks for alcohol producers
3) Allowing parents to pay for K-12 schooling with TAX FREE college savings plans (which non-wealthy people can't afford to fund, so basically sending the rich kids to school their WHOLE LIVES tax free, instead of just college).

Note the sourcing on the image, and this is with the proposed bill: Tax increase goes to the bottom 60% of americans ($0 to $90,000 earners)

Also available at 2:53 in the Daily Show video...

This tax bill is a complete f*($&*ing joke that is going to hurt pretty much everyone on these forums, yet people blinded by ignorance will still watch Fox News (who lies 2/3 of the time ---> http://www.politifact.com/punditfact/tv/fox/ ) and find complete BULLSH*T reasons to back the bill, such as "omg corporations will raise waiges, to which I say WATCH them ask the top CEO's in the country who would do that, and NONE OF THEM SAY THEY WOULD, in the Seth Myers Link.
Playing it correctly means you've already won.

What I like is the fact that Mueller has probably known about all of this for weeks if not months before it was reported. He is at least one step ahead of the WH and the news media at all times. And the best part is, the WH doesn't even know it.

While I wouldn't mind seeing the case move more quickly, it's better that it proceeds carefully and deliberately and avoid careless unforced errors.

Besides, the ones that know they have something to worry about are probably experiencing that old movie trope of getting trapped in a room where the walls are slowly coming together.

Nice spin there, Zeke.

Sure, a lot of our taxes goes to service debt, debt which in turn was incurred to pay for services previously provided.

"You can pay me now, or you can pay me later."

We choose to pay later.

Were we not to pay, were no taxes collected, the government would collapse and no services would be provided.

As I said in another post.

How many people get accused falsely in similar but separate incidents for any offense, not just sex?

Would you hire a babysitter who has 4-5 accusations against her for child abuse by different families but never been proven guilty?

Would you hire a maid, where things are going missing in the hotel room at an unusually high rate but she's never been caught, when you could hire ten never or rarely accused.

Would you want a hospital person taking care of you where patients under his care were mysteriously dying in unusual numbers, but who has never been caught doing anything wrong?

What would SOOPOO do?

Sounded like he had a mouthful of saliva in need of immediate expectoration.

Must be tough for the don, him not having a muslim nearby to spit on.

In his mind, it's a win / win: he gets a moving spittoon, and the poor muslim gets a much needed shower.

I agree with Soopoo
Its up to the voters
Hopefully the voters will not elect Moore
What really scares me about Moore is that he is a hypocritical religious nut

I happened to think of multiple cases where the women were always lying. It was the "To Catch a Predator" show that ran for a couple seasons. The women were lying about being 13, 14, and 15. They were always 18 or above.

Older guys show up one after the other to have sex with the 13, 14, or 15 year olds. Amazingly enough, even though all were recorded on video and audio with many incriminating factors, some guys still tried to talk their way out of it.

The dude was banned from a shopping mall becuause he was known to creep on underage girls.

Contrary to how it appears undisputed here, that assertion has been challenged by the mall manager at the time:
"The former manager of the Gadsden Mall, Barnes Boyle, said he does not remember Moore being banned.
“It was part of the job, yeah, we did have written reports and things (on people banned,” Boyle, 86, who managed the mall from 1981 to 1998, told WBRC. “To my knowledge he was not banned from the mall.” WBRC

Typical ignorance that is so common today among citizens. People dont even know which taxes pay for what. Property taxes pay for the schools, fire departments etc. Gasoline taxes and indirect excise taxes such as license fees, taxes on tires, etc pay for the roads. Income taxes dont pay for shit other than to pay off the interest on the national debt. The corporate income tax does pay for somethimg though as it pays for the military defense.

I can explain why it is the way it is, but you wouldnt believe me anyway. Keep listening to the bs tv media where they tell you government woulent be able to operate without your hard earmed income tax dollars. Government doesnt need our tax dollars to stay afloat. If that was the case, hpw did we fund government from 1776 to 1913? Hmm.

Our founding fathers knew and understood that government can operate through indirect excise taxes alone. When i talk about your hard earned income tax dollars, im talking about the personal income tax, NOT the corporate inome tax, whoch does serve a purpose, but even then, military funding is out of control fighting wars we dont need.

I find it hilarious, instead of you go reading the Grace Commission report, you stick to your misguided and misunderstood bias beliefs of what your wonderful tv media tells you. Thats the main problem in this country. Ignorance is absolutely amazing. Whatever comes out of that TV and newspapers people take as truth.
Any private business open to the PUBLIC (ie. droned out casinos) cannot have a criminal trespass enforced against an individual without GOOD CAUSE (Disruptive or Disorderly conduct). I'm not sure if I've found the right things or not, but this is what my google search, "what does your income tax pay for", returns.

https://www.aol.com/2013/04/25/biggest-things-your-income-taxes-pay-for/#slide=976888#fullscreen (slide #4)
~8% goes to pay off interest of national debt. Dated in 2013.

I know, it's AOL, but it's the first one that showed up. Sigh.

http://money.cnn.com/2016/04/18/pf/taxes/how-are-tax-dollars-spent/index.html
13.7% goes to interest on Federal debt. Dated in 2016.

https://www.cbpp.org/research/federal-budget/policy-basics-where-do-our-federal-tax-dollars-go
6%. Dated in 2017.

https://www.daveramsey.com/blog/where-does-your-tax-money-go
Either 6% or 8.1%. Appears to be dated 2011-2012.

Either way, it's not something that we should be paying.

You do realize the word 'liberal' has a completely different meaning than what it did back in the 18th century right? Back then a liberal was a 'classic liberal' and was someone like Thomas Jefferson who believed in complete freedom from government with only a limited amount of government to protect our rights. Now it's completely the opposite and has socialistic tendencies.

Please tell me you and the rest of this forum are classic liberals who believe in limited government and true freedom.

I ain't no damn commie.

Most on this forum, or at least who post in this thread, aren't the "we believe in freedom" types. They'd rather have the government run their lives and force them to have health insurance and think the government is the answer to all problems.

I've already told you what I would do. With the available evidence I WOULD NOT vote for Roy Moore. What I am saying is the voters of Alabama have access to the same information I have, and if more of them choose Moore, then he is THEIR Senator. What you and many others, mostly the anti-Trump gang, fail to realize is that your opinion is not what runs the country. We have laws, elections, trials, etc.... If there is a legal means to oust Moore when elected, then go for it.

I tend to agree with you, that Moore as Senator will be bad for the GOP. By then Franken and Conyers will be gone, giving the Democrats the high road on this issue. A strong majority condemnation of Moore from the GOP would have lost them one seat, but gained more in the long run.

Your quote that you are using as "proof" does not define "wasted". If Peter Grace thinks Social Security is a waste, then his fact that 100 percent of what is collected pays for interest is false.

I remember way back when NY State was trying to sell the lottery as a way to give 'extra' money for education. I can assure you that now the lottery money that goes to education just means less general tax revenue that goes to education.

In the UK, we have an annual 'car tax' and very high taxes on Petrol. It is often said that if all the car tax and fuel taxes were spent on the roads, we would be driving on solid gold.

I understand why the evangelicals are going for Moore. First off, abortion is a huge issue. Any government that supports a woman's right to choose is a huge mark. against them. When you take Roy Moore's alleged transgressions against actual acts of democrats, the choice becomes clear. Never a democrat.

So it's not nearly as simple as the examples rxwine gave.

The interest on the national debt is $266b. Federal PERSONAL income tax in 2017/18 was 1.84 trillion. So no, I don't believe you one bit. Because you're wrong. Corporate taxes account for 355 billion, which is less than the defense budget.

See?

Sigh.

If any of the rumors are true that even more people in Congress may face sexual misconduct charges, the chances that Moore will be the only one staying on seem remote.

He already has a bunch of accusers.

They are trying to firmly force and establish the practice of resigning when someone has been accused, with public support in the form of at least the threat of voter backlash, and then use that additional pressure against Trump, even with pressure from his own party leaders.

Quote of the day, from Sean Hannity, said completely seriously and without the slightest glimmer of awareness of the overpowering stench of unbridled irony:

"(Obama) is obviously sick, pathetic and twisted in this obsession with President Trump. It’s kind of like everyone in the media....Every single chance Obama gets, whether it be here or at home, overseas, it doesn’t matter, he’s trashing, trying to undermine the president. Maybe he can’t get over the fact that his record was atrocious...”

Also, as if you even need another reason to hate Roy Moore, when asked when the last time America was great (emphasis added):

"I think it was great at the time when families were united—even though we had slavery—they cared for one another…Our families were strong, our country had a direction."

These people are so detached from reality and living in a whole other plane of existence, it's hard not to question their mental stability.

CNN once again proves that it is a totally unreliable source:

"A 2016 email sent to candidate Donald Trump and top aides pointed the campaign to hacked documents from the Democratic National Committee that had already been made public by the group WikiLeaks a day earlier. The email — sent the afternoon of Sept. 14, 2016 — noted that “Wikileaks has uploaded another (huge 678 mb) archive of files from the DNC” and included a link and a “decryption key,” according to a copy obtained by The Washington Post.

The writer, who said his name was Michael J. Erickson and described himself as the president of an aviation management company, sent the message to the then-Republican nominee as well as his eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., and other top advisers. The day before, WikiLeaks had tweeted links to what the group said was 678.4 megabytes of DNC documents.

The full email — which was first described to CNN as being sent on Sept. 4, 10 days earlier — indicates that the writer may have simply been flagging information that was already widely available. CNN later corrected its story to note the email had been sent Sept. 14." wapo

Did you guys see this latest Roy Moore accuser? Besides being uncomfortably real and sad, he SIGNED her yearbook with love and his title, date, and the restaurant name where she worked and he was a regular. As the DA. And now, of course, he's never heard of her or the restaurant, and it's all a liberal plot.
What an idiot.
They're reporting also that he was BANNED from the l
Gadsden mall because he was trolling for teens. Can you imagine?

Not that anyone here particularly cares, but joining Brian Ross, the first complaint turns out to be untrue, too:
"Beverly Young Nelson, one of several women accusing Alabama Republican senate candidate Roy Moore of sexual misconduct, told ABC's "Good Morning America" on Friday that she amended notes to what she says is Moore's inscription in her high school yearbook.

Nelson came forward in an appearance alongside her attorney, Gloria Allred, in a press conference last month to accuse Moore of assaulting her when she was a teenager and he was 30. Nelson claimed that Moore had attempted to force her to perform a sex act on him when she was in high school, and offered what she said was a note Moore left in her yearbook by way of proof.

The message in question reads: "To a sweeter more beautiful girl I could not say Merry Christmas. Christmas 1977. Love, Roy Moore, D.A. 12-22-77 Olde Hickory House." CBS News
