I'd stand on both. Whenever the table all hit their crap hands and bust the dealer always has like a 5 or 6 under!!!

My bad. I thought that was two separate hands against the dealer. I didn't even consider they were already split once.

There's multiple explanations why someone would have an odd amount of money playing $1 but the most obvious one is because they put in a slot ticket that had an odd amount.

I've actually seen that exact same thing, split 8s getting more 8s. It was at Revel, so it was about 2 years ago. The woman playing was a novice, the only reason she split the first pair was that the table talked her into it. When she got more 8s she was too scared to split again, didn't want that much money on the table! She was shaking as it was, with $20 out ($10 table).
I don't remember what the dealer had, but she won the hands.

Maybe I just suck at VP. Is 3 to a flush better than discard all? If so it's gotta be real close and I would just rather dump them all.

I shrunk the picture so its hard to see, but the game was triple double bonus. Im not sure if a 3 card flush is a hold but most likely seeing as the game sucks.

It's also Ultimate X. Trying to get that 10 or 11x for the next hand obviously.
Edit: I take that back. I see this person was only betting 1 credit per hand.

I can't imagine that being the right play regardless of what the other two cards where but I didn't analyze every possibility I do know that any single face card would be held above that. Even if the other two cards were off suit9 and 10 the correct play would be a gut shot

A multi-game machine with slots/keno/video poker on it. Or possibly an old slot machine cabinet that was reconfigured for VP.

But with that hand assuming he had no face cards- which if he did he would have held any face/ the only other possibility I saw would have been a gut shot straight which you would hold over three to the flush

I'd be surprised if the paytable was 9/6 though, even at dollars. And if a person is playing one coin on one of those, very doubtful that they know correct strategy.

Yes I realize that. I was just saying that's when you should consider doing it on TDB. As i'm sure you know, once the flush hits 7 the strategy changes drastically towards flushes. And adding 5 to a straight changes up str8 holds. With all the new crazy VP games and bad pay tables I have to think VP percentage holds are way up. Unfortunately I have to believe the volume is way down. They certainly could offer better pay-tables. They are slowly killing off VP with bad pay tables.

Multi-Game unit? Many machines in the WV parlors have VP/Keno/Slots, though I haven't seen any such with handles.
Regarding the hold, maybe the person thought he/she was on Deuces and then realized they tapped the wrong game, but I'm speculating. Aside from that, maybe the person still perceived it as a potential SF draw, even though it wasn't.
