For anyone who has ever asked him or her self: "Hmm....a payment for Junior's College fund....or a buy-in at the Mirage...."
This is mind-blowing. Kid blows $90,000 of her college money on Europe spring-break trips, has no money for her senior year. This went world-wide, with a bit of an attitude of what kind of privledged pr]cks are those Yanks? (Well, loving grandparents in this case...)
The Bert Show.
I'm surprised she didn't blow it gambling in Vegas. I'm sure the casinos would have been willing to way over serve her drinks and encourage her to gamble it all away, then give her a line of credit.Quote: PaigowdanThis caught my ear....I've always felt that a little effort from the young 'ums for their college bills should be a two-way "effort requirement."

I lol'd at the statement that she convinced herself a trip to Europe was part of her education. Also, I don't think she really knows the definition of "budget".

Let's just say most businesses of any stripe do not turn away paying customers, avoiding a Hillary vs. Trump side of the aisle thingy here.
Quote: ahiromuOk so, I am not going to disagree with the fact that she is a moron. However, the grandparents are kind of ignorant to throw $90k on an 18 year old and expect everything to work out for the best... especially because they should have known she was blonde. Come on guys, she's got an 80% chance at being blonde here (full offense).

If she was going to blow the cash, Grandma could have played high-limit slots.

Nothing new. 40 years ago a friend got $75K
inheritance and blew it on a world tour. 23 years
ago the son of a friend got $180K inheritance
for college at 18 and blew it in 6 months on
cars, party's, and clothes. Now 40, he still blames
the adults for not 'stopping him'. What a joke.
He disappeared, we couldn't stop him.
To top it off, his younger sister got her college
inheritance 5 years later, waited till she was 22
and it had grown to $240K, and did the exact
same thing. Lesson here is, specify that the
money can ONLY be spent on tuition, nothing
else. Kids are morons.
There are always exceptions to the rule, I know some young people who save their inheritance, invest, go to school and work even thought they don't need to.
I know people that work hard but still blow their money.
I pity the man that marries this chick.

It's a slow Wednesday so I followed the link. A lot of material there, I only really read 'Sat #73' in the list of options.Quote: coilmanWOW my buddy is on a WORLD TOUR right now..been on it since July of 2014...currently in India where he UPGRADED his seat on the train to first class (read air condidtion car) from second class.... splurge of $6 more making his 7 hour train ride $17.
