Any player ever collapse and the game goes on like nothing happened while the medics attend to the victim?
Any regular player a lifetime winner at craps? (If so: details!)
What is the longest craps roll you recall seeing?
Ever see anyone actually demonstrably exercise what you felt was "dice influencing" while shooting?
And as for Frank ...

these are tough questions, as for the weirdest, probably the guy who kept pissing under the table and it took weeks to figure out who it was.
lots of player collapses over the years but one I remember was when a temporary wall fell in on top of the Asian pit and people were yelling and running and we never missed a roll.
never seen a lifetime winner either regular player or anyone else or in the records that are kept.
longest roll is impossible to distinguish, I'm guessing 1 1/2hrs......some guys seem to influence the dice on their rolls but lose betting on everybody else...its a tough call as to whether they actually influence long term or you just notice there efforts during a long roll.......wish frank would return to GG

I vaguely remember reading something about that wall falling, which casino did that happen in?

"Used inappropriately?"
How about a link to the thread?
It's only Superrick, out trying to debunk "the mad professor" once again.
He's on another thankless snipe hunt.
And now for something completely different:
I doubt any member of this forum would do that, it must have been some "poacher" trying to boost their site's traffic.Quote: ontariodealerfor some reason this thread was taken to another website and used inappropriately so I will offer no more comment here.
Please don't let such annoyances chase you away. Particularly after forty years I'm sure you have a great many contributions to make.

I was quoting some of the points that you made: ….Like these quotes!
Quote: FleaStiffMet any professional craps players during those forty years?
That's an interesting question that any so-called DI might ask of any craps dealer, lets see what you had to say.
Quote: ontariodealerno, not that I know of.
Well if you are dealing everyday to should get a general drift if someone that you deal to all the time is a professional are not. They would be winning all of the time, and they would have to have very strict loss limits, They would stick out like a sore thumb wrapped in bandages.

That is always the general consensus of most dealers. There are no long term craps players that win all of the time!
These are all things that players should know, but there is so much fiction written on the game that's it's hard for Joe blow to figure out where the reality line is crossed.
So I'm just pointing out some of the things that you wrote to help clarify where writers cross that line!
I'm one of the biggest skeptics you will ever find on what is written on any board, and I think that players have the right to know the truth about what they are doing. So when it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it must be a duck! Fiction can be very entertaining, but there is no spot for it on any gambling board. So every time I read about one of those ducks, I try to find out about the truth and yes I will point it out to anybody that wants to read the truth!
I always put a link to what I'm quoting and give credit where is due.

Like anybody else that writes on a different board that they help run I have a link in my signature line.
I also provide a link to the wizardofvegas.com, and tell anybody that is reading over on the board that I help run that if you what to know anything about the math of the game or have any questions that we can't answer, the Wizards board is the best you can get!
I still have a few more questions for the Ontariodealer, that I think everybody would learn something from, but will not waste my time asking if he will not answer them!
Here is a list of link that you will find over on the board that I help run, note that we even have a link to Heavy's board that some some so-called DI's say I have a problem with, that link hasn't changed from when we put it up, even though I can't post there. The reason for any craps board should be to help out the players, that is what we try to do, by not allowing fiction to be written.

By the way Ontariodealer I don't remember you being a member on procraps4u2, funny that you should be reading the board that offended you so much.

I wander down there occasionally.
Not an oyster fan, I've only been in that place a couple times, but it is a Portland classic.
Alas, I REALLY miss what used to be across the street / alley from it: The 24 hour Church of Elvis.
It moved to NW Couch St. awhile ago.

Many craps dealers were identifieable.Quote: odiousgambitI think you can see why he won't answer some questions. Identifiable guy.
Some movie stars would fly into Vegas and the casino would call in his favorite dice dealers just to be there for him even if it wrecked their work schedule. One man owned a car lot and gave a new car to the entire craps crew... you think that happens without the crew being known beyond just their name tags. Many dice dealers had to remember alot of family details and sports teams about various customers.
To customers in a casino the dealers can all be a blur but good dealers focus on service and individuals as well as what number just rolled.
We have a winner. According to WikiLeaks, MrRoller is the same Mad Professor that hides behind the curtain.
Quote: MrRollerThis thread sure took a turn for the insane. This guy surely has years and years of interesting stories to tell from 40 years of dealing craps, and it's been derailed because it has been posted on some 'dice influencing' message board where one person makes more that 50% of the posts?
I'd urge you to ignore and reconsider and regale us with some more stories from 40 years in the game.

There is no evidence on this forum to indicate that MrRoller and Mad Professor are the same person. I am removing your accusation in the quoted thread and warning you not to continue making it. Thank you.

In all honesty, thank you, this looks like it will be fun to read. I really just did want to hear the old man's casino stories, I eat that stuff up.
Quote: Bohemianbeachbumbabs, you have a Private Message supplying you with said verification. I will not post same on a public board.
I'm kind of amused and interested to see what evidence that would be, because I'm just some degenerate who has been lurking this forum for a year and finally decided to make an account. I have no idea who the mad professor is, or why anyone has it out for him. Sorry if I came off snotty in attacking that forum.
I know I probably won't convince you but maybe in a few months you'll see a handful of boring gambling related posts out of me and realize I'm just another dude. :-)
