I don't even know if they are still in business. Didn't they file bankruptcy over the Grossjean suit? Anyways, I think Oregon Surveillance Network is the bad guy now.

I think with Fax networks and email, the casinos do a great deal of voluntary sharing about incidents and surveillance clips.

I do know that the Peppermill and Atlantis in Reno had a coordinated mass 86'ing of AP's a few years ago.

Their web site is still up. They declared bankruptcy but came out of it is my understanding. Several years ago I asked a friend with a major Strip casino if I was in Griffin. She came back to me and said "no." I'm probably not good enough to be.

So let me ask again to be clear. Dose Griffin operate anymore? if so where, if not did they merge or has it been taken over by someone else? More input and history in the last 10 years would be appreciated. I would assume casinos still uses some of the suggested procedures they learned from griffin.

After they filed for bankruptcy, they kind of laid low for a while, but then began re-emerging in some of the newer Midwest markets, marketing their 'expertise' and extensive database. Now, they have emerged again, trying to get back into the Vegas Market, from which they are all but gone now. They have recently offered many of the Vegas casino's a free month trial offer of there services.
I have a friend who works in the industry that told me he didn't think very many casinos had even taken them up on the free trial offer. He said their database looks outdated and he suspected many of the names and faces weren't even in the game anymore, maybe not even alive. Lol. He also said that the few newer entries that there were looked like they may have been lifted almost word for word from another companies database.

Based on just anecdotal information, the Oregon Surveillance Network is the big fish in that pond now.

Very much so. And I hate to say this but OSN seems pretty well put together (organized) and know what they are doing. Like Griffin, before them, they do some of that 'lumping card counters in with cheats' as far as their database, not distinguishing all that much between the two, which I take offense at. I would be surprised if any OSN subscribers dropped OSN in favor of Griffin. I think the best Griffin can hope for is that some casinos will go the overkill route and subscribe to both services.
In reading through Griffins website last week (when it was brought to my attention that they were trying to push back into Vegas), I was amused to read their description that card counters are such a major threat to the industry. Perhaps, teliot can educate them. :)
