Rudeboi, we are on for a hike and some golf when I get back!!!
I'm down! Except maybe for the golf part. I have no idea how to even swing a club lol.

Yep, I am probably paranoid given my relatively mid-level stakes, but I tend to chronicle a bit too much of my gambling habits on this forum, so I'd rather not have a face associated with my handle.
Quote: rudeboyoiSo Saturday I spent 10hrs moving 5.5 truckloads of heavy heavy furniture for a friends family into a new house. And the two days before that, me and my roommates moved our stuff from one apartment to another. I was aching horribly all over today but still managed to summit kraft mountain!
Thanks so much for offering to lead the hike despite the sore legs! I had a great time escaping the madness of the strip for a few hours to enjoy nature and get some exercise. Also, in a not-that-crazy coincidence, rudeboyoi's roommate grew up in the same area where I live now and was familiar with a lot of the casinos I frequent at home (I think he worked at one of them, although I don't remember for sure).
Made it home this morning and am typing this from my desk at work where I am catching up on email and returning to reality. I had a great trip all around; had my biggest winning trip to Vegas in 9 tries! I won way, way, waaaaaayyy over expectation for my paltry 7 hours of green chip counting, but I "had it coming" given that my last 4 sessions at home were all disastrous (I know I don't actually "have anything coming," but it's nice for the swings to even out in the positive direction). Also won at craps yet again (thanks to the meetup session and a big roll I made for myself at the Cromwell), so my lifetime win is getting safer and safer! Especially since I actually controlled myself fairly well this time and kept my craps bets low, and my -EV pretty small compared to my +EV at blackjack.
Always good to catch up with everyone - I may write up a detailed trip report in a blog post, although I still have my notes from WoVCon /// that I never converted into a full trip report...
Quote: teddysWhaaat?!! I swear to God I am the curse for craps at all WoV gatherings. But then again, we did go on a nice run at Meadows in Pittsburgh, so maybe things are turning around...? Congrats!
I think it was SOOPOO who said "Imagine how much Teddy would have won if he had been here..." Although, the Cal only offers full double odds (2.5 on the 6/8), which SUCKS! I think it was the first time in my life I had played at a craps table with worse than 3-4-5x odds. With the big rolls we had, we all would have raked in even more at MSS or any reasonable craps table...but, at least we found a spot for all of us.
I would not want to be posting my Pic up on a forum. Its not like I'm trying to hide, like some guys, guys who no one ever actually meets in person, because they hide at home behind their monitors.Quote: AcesAndEightsYep, I am probably paranoid given my relatively mid-level stakes, but I tend to chronicle a bit too much of my gambling habits on this forum, so I'd rather not have a face associated with my handle.
Its one thing meeting up with someone in person or attend an event. At least your now on the same playing field, you see them, they see you. But randomly posting your picture online where people are always arguing and acting bat sh*t crazy seems not smart. Probably not a good idea people knowing who you are, but you not knowing who they are.
Please accept my belated condolences. I had not checked this thread in a while. I lost my father 10 months ago too. He had cancer but they were calling for 6 to 12 months. He took a down turn and was gone within a week. It is hard to lose them so fast, but in the end, it is a much more humane passing, and I am grateful it happened as it did for our family.
My wish is that you too may also find peace in your loss.
