For those who haven't read it yet on the WOO site, I find the two analyses of the lottery and football shutout promotion amongst the most interesting dissections Mike has done. I was initially drawn to WoV after starting reading the WOO Q and A's. Thanks again, Mike!

I agree, very good. I'll be sending this around to my kinda-math-inclined friends, who often do the bare minimum amount of math (i.e. the first table there) and assume that with a sufficiently high jackpot the lottery is +EV.
