NW Connecticut and Eastern NY State expecting 2-5" of snow, higher elevations get more. Should be snowing there as I post. Flurries at the house.
The last time it snowed in CT after May 1st was May of 1977 (I witnessed this in Danbury CT) I believe also on the 9th. Nine months later was the Blizzard of '78. NOT a good omen. Gettin too old for 30" snow storms ;o)

Should hit 100 today here in Vegas. I left NJ about 10 years ago. Long tired of the miserable weather and a summer that seems to last about 45 days. It was in the 30's there this morning. May.
Bring on the Vegas heat for the next 5-6 months.

92 and fairly humid down here on the border.
Evidently, this is insect migration season as of Monday we had a half dozen African Bee swarms, and this weekend we have thousands, or tens of thousands, of very large moths.

African bees? That's so yesterday! Call me when you have Murder Hornets.
My son is the moth expert. Post a picture and he will give you a detailed analysis.......

South Florida has a two day warning for falling lizards. Too cold for the cold blooded. Iguanas freeze up and fall out of trees.
Quasimodo? Does that name ring a bell?

5 degrees for a high in MN; was negative overnight with -20 to -30 windchill. Had a blizzard yesterday with 35 mph winds and whiteout conditions. White Christmas’s are trash I’d definitely trade them for a Joshua Tree.
