Just a word if caution though. It is believed that elements in the industry, casinos, as well as networks like OSN, monitor social media networks which are related to AP activity in an effort to identify AP's for their database. I would think a Facebook page by the Wizard, would certainly be of interest to these groups.

Absolutely. FB is one of the most monitored social sites
in the world. A lot of crime originates there, and casinos
consider AP's criminals.

I certainly use it, although I'm out of the AP game. It has definitely helped connecting the dots as it pertains to collusion, fraud, and other criminal activity.
I can say I've never used it for AP, but perhaps those who are more zealous about it might.
Quote: beachbumbabsThis is not that kind of link; you don't "friend" the wizard, you "like" the page. Who "likes" it is not displayed on the page. Any "elements in the industry" could not backtrack a person simply by looking at that page; names are not displayed, nor are links to people following it.
Don't be so sure. I won't because I find it creepy, but you would be shocked to know how much info about you I could obtain in one half hour.
Quote: From the thread "EB and the Tin Foil Hat"40 minutes later I called an end to the excersize, and I really couldn't believe what I had to show for it. Keep in mind, I am no computer whiz. I am not a haxxors beast, I'm not cyber anything, hell, some of these I can barely turn on. And the stuff I accessed was done so by direct means, I simply went to info available to the entire public. In those 40 minutes, I had this person's name, birthday, current address, address of former home, where they lived currently, where they just moved from, where they grew up, phone number, social security number, college they went to, major and minor, degrees received, where they spent their free time, countless friends and family contacts, it just went on and on.

It's one of the NSA's favorite sites, too!
here are even on FB.

Right. The majority of people on here don't drive cars either. They smoke cigarettes, live across the street from the casino, have grey hair, and oxygen tanks that they wheel into the casino with assistance before they sit at the machine.
Oh, you said majority of people here not the single person responsible for the majority of the posts.

FB is in how you use it. It can be fun if you are watching a ballgame alone and need interaction. It is great for local interest groups to keep in touch. And if you need weird advice where to find something your friends may know where to get it. Not all of us just say that we are making a post while we have hot wings and shrimp at the Quaker Steak and Lube as we write this.
