Gold spike closing sunday

The 'downtown project', headed by Zappo's founder, has bought up Gold Spike, along with the closed Western Casino and 60 some other properties in the downtown area. Plans for Gold spike were not released other than to say it will not be a hotel casino. For those of you unfamiliar, the Downtown Project goal is to transform downtown LV into a more livable area with focus on Arts, Music, and creative culture, along the lines of SOHO/Greenwich Village.

It was discovered two days ago they were closing hotel and deleting questions off their FB page.
