Thought you might find this interesting. I just got back from a trip to Phoenix. While there we went to a place called "Rawhide Western Town", which is a place set up like the old west, complete with saloon/steakhouse, burro and stagecoach rides, petting zoo, and cowboy stunt shows. It's a neat little place and the steaks at the saloon were excellent.
Anyway, in the saloon they had some old west machines, including a coin-op Big 6 game (it was not functional) and a Faro display. Here's the pictures (that's Slyther Jr mugging in front of the Big6 machine):

Big Six was really coin-op? Any idea when it was made?

They didn't have any signage around the machine so I don't know but it sure looked old!

That is a "Watling Big Six" machine. It was a nickel stand up machine (5 1/2 feet tall). You put a nickel in the slot that corresponds to the number you think will come up. The choices are 1 - 5 and a star. . So it pays 5 for 1, but there is a 1 in 6 chance to win.
It's worth about $15,000 - $20,000 if it was working.
