My fiancee is a big Veronica Mars fan. She's been hoping for a movie since the series was cancelled. I told her it was never going to happen. Partly because the series really only ever had a cult following, partly because it's a show about highschool and the show ran 10ish years ago. I even bet her it was never going to happen. Today I saw this Kickstarter project. Yeah, the movie is going to happen. They just raised $2.2 MILLION DOLARS in the first 17 hours of the 30 day posting period. Holy crap did I put myself on the wrong side of this bet.

I can't gamble (freeplay suckouts don't count) or watch a baseball game until I've watched all of the episodes of the TV show on DVD. I also have to accompany her to the movie. Unless/until the movie was made, she agreed to watch 1 baseball game/month with me.

What is your position on smoking marijuana? It could really help in a situation like this.
Its - Possessive; It's - "It is" / "It has"; There - Location; Their - Possessive; They're - "They are"

The more I drank, the better "The Hangover" became. But I haven't watched the movie since I started returning to Vegas in 2011.

I may be naive, but it seems like betting on something not happening is always going to be a bad bet. You can't possibly collect on it, unless there's a time limit, ie, in my lifetime. On the other hand, betting that something could happen seems like a good bet. There's always a possibility of anything, even when people say they aren't going to do it, years later they may change their mind.
