however my offer of a suite each weekend for the month of july was cancelled after the second week at the check in counter
however my gf who played there a total of once lost 40 dollars and earned an estimate 6 dollar theo just received an offer of two free nights on thanksgiving weekend

When Strictly PM'd me about this I had to ask him if he would post this for all to see.
Apparently, it is not only me experience with the new kid on the block - but others as well.
I just spoke to a casino host at Borgata who, despite my not having played there, is willing
to give me two full weekends comped based on my level of play at Revel. From there, it is
the same story of comps based on play but at least Borgata is doing the right thing.
Thank you Strictly for posting this!

But you've got to have a high degree of confidence in the ability of the folks at the Borgata to be able to add all of your small sessions together and realize that it's a lot of play.

Can they do a worse job than Revel?
It's a shame too because it's a beautiful property with a lot going for it...but they need to get their act together in a hurry.
Quote: rdw4potusI almost wonder if they're trying to go bankrupt. Lose all the construction debt, sell to some friendly entity, and then move on to actually trying to make money. Right now, it's so bad that it's easier to come to the conclusion that they're actively trying to lose money than it is to conclude that they think they're running a good business.
I read this and thought.....holy sh*t he's right. It actually makes sense on some level for them to do that. Go to bankruptcy court, get your debts written off as much as possible, and then start trying to make money on the back end. Genuis!! It explains everything.

Seriously. It's like watching a bad NBA team try to lose the last 20 games of the season - without being too obvious, of course - in order to improve their standing in the draft lottery.

All good Bankruptcy lawyers advise a significant pre-filing strategy period. You can bet they are midstream with that effort right now.. Just like J.C. Penney.

Not sure this theory survives Occam's Razor when compared to general employee apathy or incompetence.
I called my host and was told that I could book the rooms because I got the offer.
I could not book rooms any longer based on my play!!! LOL
Way to go in the loyalty department.
In other news, I emailed Borgata and someone emailed me back within 12 hours,
then, within a few hours after that, a casino host emailed me...two emails later,
I have been invited for any 2 upcoming weekends I want - and they will see my
play and I will assess their treatment of me. Very classy.

The escalators scare the shit out of me.
If you say non smoking, I understand. Otherwise, why did you not listen to Kevin when he stated gambling was not a priority?
I would say you got what you deserved.
Quote: BozPK I have to ask, why s anyone playing at Revel and what are (we're) you expecting that any other casino in AC such as Caesars or Borgata could or would have not given you?

What is "PK"?

Im guessing a mystype.
Also, heard through the grapevine that many full time employees are remaining "full time" but hours are getting severely decreased
Went there back in August to do the Match Your Tier promo and got their Second level card with $25 free slot dollars. Made $14 on the free play and went to Blackjack. Played for 2 hours, made a modest profit and decided to leave as the Dealer merry go round began to occur(changing dealers 3 or 4 times in less than a half hour) Just annoys me, and when I start seeing profit disappear also at the same time, I feel it's time for a break!
Since then, 0 offers from Revel for matchplay, rooms or slot dollars. Not even mailers notifying of concerts like Aerosmith, Eagles, etc.
My father, who has never been to Revel once, received an offer in the mail for a Comp room Sun-Thurs. and $100 free Slot play. He strictly plays tables and only plays the slots when they give him free coupons at CET or via Bus. Needless to say, he went there, redeemed both and had a good night of winning. Plus he hasn't gone back since!
But I asked, did they call you or ask your information first? He said "Nope, they just sent the offer in the mail one day."
So I guess they bought his info from a nearby casino marketing list?
I could understand Golden Nugget AC having the Trump Marina marketing list and doing this, but what is Revel's angle here?
I'm leaning towards some of your beliefs that they are luring in lower level/infrequent players by over doing the promo offers. Strange policies indeed!
