I was never good at this sort of thing, and I don't recall the syllables per lines required, but here's my entry:

Spring rain wets the field
Time of planting is coming
A strong oak rises
Hard toil of plowing
Yet with it comes great pleasure
Relief in the end
A new dawn arrives
Get what no longer has use
Out of the house

Eyes across the bar,
Speaking without words saying;
"We'll go really far."
Scotch, Gin, feeling fine,
I approach and deliver;
A weak pick-up line.
She blushed and replied,
"I'm sorry, but I'm the bride,"
I went back outside.
I made some more rounds,
Running into a brunette;
Weighed three-hundred pounds.
"Pardon," I stammered,
"I liked it," was the reply;
Was I that hammered?
I bought her a drink,
Took me ten or twelve, I think;
I gave her a wink.
I picked up the tab,
As dusk became day, quickly;
I called her a cab.

Technically, Haikus are not written with 17 syllables. However, the Americanized version of Haikus seem to support this methodology. It's one I like to use as well.
I can't take credit for the following, although I read it recently and love it:
I see you driving
'Round town with the girl I love
And I'm like, haiku

My previous haiku was in fact exactly about the topic of the thread this split from: https://wizardofvegas.com/forum/off-topic/general/10214-so-whats-your-views-about-one-time-stand/
Fresh vanity plate
Dice adorning the mirror
A rare one it was
Yet mattered it not
As before eight we pulled up
To the house we sought
So eager to leave
Left the chauffeur a promise
Of smelling him yet
For but a minute
I observed my empire
The end of the road
As time came to be
Bethroned as the prince
Of the town Bel-Air

While it violates the requirement that the subject be related to one of the four seasons (if I remember correctly without Googling it), here is my video poker haiku:
Four to a royal...
Only need the Jack of clubs...
Damn, missed it again.

is Paradise in Wenches
with Gold in limbo.
These Wenches are strange.
For after sex on the beach,
we are now married.
I tried to explain
a Pirate can't be tied down...
we tie people up!
Her Father demands
I marry her in the morn
or into the flames.
She is quite angry
I chose fire not marriage,
she adds many logs.
Rum is my saviour!,
the Captain raises a toast.
Thirty bottles drunk.
The Natives passed-out,
I jump out of the kettle
and arrive on-board.
A true Ocean tale
Pirates, Wenches, Fire, Rum
the Rum was best ARRrrg.

Resurrecting an ancient thread since I saw it referenced in the new Limerick thread.
Trivia: Haiku aren't actually 5-7-5 syllables, they're 5-7-5 onsetsu, which are similar to syllables, but not quite. Take the word "ichiban". That would be 3 syllables in English, but 4 onsetsu (I-CHI-BA-N). Yes, they count the N separately, and even pronounce it separately in slow-read poetry and songs. (e.g., "Velvet Easter") Similarly, "kaiju" would be 2 syllables in English, but 3 onsetsu (KA-I-JU).
Also, true haiku involve nature, not just any random subject.
There, I ruined it.

I believe if the poem isn't about nature (but follows the other rules), it is senryu.
