good things are:
its not cramped in a dark corner or side room of the casino.
not a huge min/max buyin spread at 50-200 at the 1/2 nl. i cant really deal with caesars 1-500.
orange julius style drink

bad things are:
you get to listen to club music from the bar that changes every 60 seconds
you get to listed to the lion recording

its way better than most room tho

Last trip (Mar 10) MGM offered a "Beginner's No Limit Hold'em". Buy-in $20-$50, blinds .50-$1

Good game, mostly friendly atmosphere, wide range of skill levels with some experienced players introducing their novice friends to the game.
The ratio of people to cake is too big.

IIRC, the poker room used to be situated by the sports book, near the entrance that connects it to the trop.

Now, the poker room is buried in some corner, and seems quite dead, despite the WSOP going on right now.

I think the Luxor has like a $1 -$1 blinds $50 max. Lose/tip $1 and you could get $50 more.+ promotions. They even used to have some good free rolls that got chopped up. If you timed it right adding all the promotions in, it would add like $12 an hr to your game. Once you got a nice stack it was hard for anyone to bust you. You could run over people or get even get them to call off with bad hands.

It has been along time since I played there so not sure what they have now.
