Looks the new owners have made their first move. Games that were 99% are now 97%.That's a 200% increase in profits on these machines. If they have done this to visible VP paytables who knows what they have done to the slots.

If I may make a suggestion - next post just add
another keyword to the title, like "Hooters VP
Seriously Downgraded".

I think that may make good info like this more
easily visible on this site.

thanks

I would say that your assumption of a 200% increase in profits is likely not true. Assuming an 'average' player at a 99% machine makes enough errors to make it really a 98% machine for the casino, and the same player would make the 97% machine a 96% machine, the casino's profits would double, not triple. I would guess only a very small percentage of VP players come close to perfect strategy, and most probably have never even tried to find out what optimal strategy is.

That, and anyone who can play at close to maximum return is simply not going to stay/play there anymore, so what profit there was from those players simply vanishes, requiring more players willing to play the bad pay tables to make up for the loss.

This should not be necessary and seems redundant considering it was posted in the Hooters forum.

I realize there's probably not enough room for the name of the forum on the Recent Threads block of the main forum page, but it looks like there should be room for it on the Recent Threads page.

That or the forum name should be automatically prepended to the subject on those pages. The net effect would be the same.

Good suggestion. The recent discussion page now shows the topic in which each thread was posted.
